Yeah, same boat here. Sorta wanted to check this show out, cause it sounded like a decent time. Glad to hear it's going to be reasonably priced. Though at 15 bucks a DVD for each volume, at 3 volumes should be around 45 for all 3 DVD's. I wonder if this'll be priced in the 30-40 dollar range then?

Either way, I'm happy with it. Though, I too have this feeling that they'll do the same with Queens Blade. Oh well, it'll probably be cheaper in the long run it seems.

Dang it! I bought the first dvd when it came out, but haven't even broken the seal yet. I just left it sealed because Crunchyroll started streaming it shortly after it released on DVD and so I watched it there instead. Oh well...

I never buy singles from Media Blasters since they seem to always have a cheaper complete collection soon afterwards but the more important reason for me is because it actually has a box to hold all the DVD's in which I like. I'm not sure why they couldn't just release the rest of the DVD's and maybe include an art box with the last volume so as to not annoy the purchasers of the first disc. I'm guessing perhaps the sales of the first volume was unexpectedly underwhelming. I'm planning on purchasing this series as soon as the next Media Blasters sale comes up.

Now if only they would announce a release date for Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei.

Though I guess brilliant dark comedy/sarcasm/social commentary doesn't sell as much as banal and brainless boob shows.

MB, WTF?

The only way it would be low enough to not punish those who purchased V1 would be to give it away for free. Now I'm stuck with Volume 1, and since V2 and V3 are not being released I can't sell it since no one will buy it.

You can probably get a dollar for it at a MovieStop. Totally not punished at all. Again, spoiler[NEVER BUY SINGLES]. No anime is worth buying singles for. None.

Singles are fine with me, I like the extra artwork. But when this kind of thing happens, it puts a damper on future purchases. I'd like to know what the price point will be to make up for this.

What a mess.
Serves Media Blasters right though for thinking they can still get away by selling high priced singles when everyone else is doing cheap season/half-season boxsets.
Also wonder if they will include the tokutens with this boxset since Vol 1 didn't have any since apparently they didn't bother to license them. lol

For some reason, I busted out laughing at this comment.

I'm sure anime retailers are thankful their inventory system can track millions of SKUs, because MediaBlasters looks to be ready to take another 2 million for itself.

As for myself, being a customer... nice try, MB. Your singles days are over. Though if this March price is the same as Ramen Fighter Miki is going for, I'm there.
*sets aside $15

Also, how does one not "punish" someone who just wasted their money on a DVD that is now a coaster, frisbee, or landfill occupant?
