Now listed at TRSI:

•Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knocking On Heaven's Door - 116 minutes - $14.98 - 12/7/10 [Dub-only]

I'll be passing on this worthless release whenever i buy the series & film. Thank goodness for FYE & used DVDs. Wink

How....very....pointless. Confused

Why pay more for a dub-only when you get the bilingual release for much much cheaper. -.-

Um, OK unless they somehow pull off the shelves all the other version of the release, there is really no point for this.

Also Topic Creator, go out and buy it NOW! Seriously it's not that expensive.

The title of the DVD is now listed as "(Hyb) Special Edition", but the format still lists it as "Dubbed in English". If it was just announced, all of the info might not be available yet, so it might be in the process of being updated. Dunno.

As Mr. Beveridge points out, it's not exactly impossible that this is simply a listing error.

Image's release has all the details on extras and specs at the moment, but it's worth noting that their site doesn't always list foreign films correctly as it's being solicited as a dub-only release. Image has released a good deal of anime over the years and had this problem then as well when they did have bilingual materials.

Yeah, I figured it was just an error. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same disc as the previous version. Wouldn't it cost more money anyway to make a new disc and remove a language track, than it would be to just reprint the original disc?

OK, I just looked on Right Stuf

Series (Anime Legend): $29.99
Movie: $13.48

Thats less than $45 plus free shipping...

That is pretty darn cheap!

Anyhow, it is good that they are re-releasing the movie.
Also the "goof" with the dub-only thing is fixed as well.

Amazon has a pretty bad habit of doing that as well.

Actually, I sent a feedback question to them, and the response I got was basically that they posted the information they had, but that it would be updated as they got more info. So it likely wasn't a "goof", but they only had info on the dub track. You notice that it didn't say "Dub only", it just said "Dubbed in English", which was still correct. It is dubbed in English, but that's not the only audio track.
