it's called, getting sick of not getting paid and having "fans" that love you but won't contribute at all

Quote: | Hellsing manga creator Kouta Hirano then chipped in by writing that the uploader should contract a bizarre, previously unknown disease — therefore, the disease would be named after the uploader in medical journals, and that would be how the uploader would be remembered for posterity. |
I like your idea.

Well, I will say that Hiroe and Hirano at least had FUN with their criticism. Also, it was totally badass that Hiroe did a special illustration in the gallery of Blazblue: Continuum Shift

I vote all three get together and create a short manga about this. Or maybe even an ongoing manga. It can be kind of like Hell Girl-- a series of episodic one-shots in which each chapter shows the (increasingly unlikely) demise of a manga/anime uploader.

Hmm... my father died from pancreatic cancer. Maybe he means the "good" kind of pancreatic cancer. But yeah, I don't think we'll find many mangaka that appreciate all their "fans" that would never spend a dime on their work.

I didn't think there were any "good" types of cancer.
It's their hard work & their livelihood. Can't really blame them for the "Drop Dead" comments we all make when people say or do stuff that anger us. One can only smile politely for so long.
We've been seeing the subbers insist the artists love them as an excuse for their existance. Doesn't sound as though there's much love left if there ever had been any.

I see that Mugi approves this article, what with her random face in it. Good to hear from the manga-ka now. Hilarious comments too!

To be honest I'm glad that Mangaka are stepping up and telling people they are dead to them, if your a fan, you'll support in some way, plain and simple, its nice to see that

I agree with the mangaka completely. Usually, the only ones that are pissy at the mangaka for actually speaking out about this issue are the ones that don't actually support them. They don't buy anything, they just read bad scanlations and maybe buy a bootleg item. Then they usually seem to criticize them online about how the Artist gets money... yeah, you silly little kids... they don't get money cos you ARE stealing from them buy not purchasing their goods and buying bootleg crap. These same chastisers rip on those that actually USE their hard earned money to purchase REAL goods and not spend it on, say, alcohol for some party that involves teabagging passed out friends... Let's turn this around, how about we make you cut our lawns, cook our food, service us or whatever job you guys do, but you do it for free, like you don't get paid... actually, no, how about we do that while EXPECTING that you're gonna get paid, but instead, you won't? How does that make you feel?
The mangaka have every right and reason to want these uploaders to die and I feel the same way.

Entry-level 2ch-style trolling, not so good.
I'll give them a 0/10 in terms of effort.
