This is probably as good a place as any to ask: did anyone else have the most recent episode of this pull up on hulu with 288 as their only resolution option? If so, why? In the past I always had 360 and 480. Tatami Galaxy was the same. Does anyone know what's up?

WTF? It just barely started. I'd figure there'd be more of it.

House of Five Leaves volume 1 is slated to be released September 21, 2010 (not April as stated in the article) with volume 2 being released on December 21, 2010. At the time which this post is being typed, the only works of Natsume Ono's which have been released in North America are Ristorante Paradiso and Not Simple. The first volume of Gente (the sequel of Ristorante Paradiso) is being released August 17, 2010 with Gente volume 2 being released on the same day as House of Five Leaves volume 2.
A lot of well-known manga seem to be ending this year (Ouran, FMA). Considering that Natsume Ono has a few other series which she is presently working on, it makes sense that House of Five Leaves is ending. I hope Viz Meda (or some other publisher) translates more of her manga in the future. I also hope I hear of a season 2 of the House of Five Leaves anime, although I doubt that this will happen).

I'm hoping for a second season also. And I hope they bring over some of her BL work. *_*

I'm always happy to read about a manga, not being canceled, but ending. I've been a long time fan of a lot of series that I'm not sure will ever end. (Berserk, HunterxHunter, Blade of the Immortal, etc.)

Great news! Now I am much more comfortable with buying the manga volumes from Viz.
Her other manga, Not Simple, is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone for a short emotional read.

For what it's worth, BOTI is building up to a climax, and the editorial staff at Afternoon like to pepper the chapters with comments about it being in its "final arc". Of course, it's also true that the build to that climax is slow and we still have years to go, but it's a pretty fun ride.
Anyway, good length for House of Leaves to end at.
