Yeeeah, just make sure that FUNi can get Johnny and Tony to reprise their roles as Vash and Wolfwood.

You mean Johnny and Jeff, right?
Anyway, I think I speak for all of us when I say, congratulations Seattle anime fans, you lucky SOBs.

Oh yes, we are quite excited. You should've seen everyone at the meeting yesterday when it was announced.

I think it is probably a given that Funimation will be licensing this. I just hoping the blu-ray version is released at the same time. I will double dip, but I would really prefer to see this on blu-ray.
Sakura Con is looking increasingly attractive. If I went to cons, I definitely would want to attend this one.

On a side note, just realized that Sakura-con and Anime Boston are the exact same dates this year. How amusing. I wonder which will actually get more participants, better dealers, and panels since both have great guests this year so far. Although the world premier of Trigun the Movie is a plus, will it even be dubbed, let alone subtitled, because if it's shown in Japanese dub, it's useless since most people who go to cons in the US probably don't know enough Japanese to even make out a sentence.

It'll most likely be subbed - I can't imagine this already being dubbed into English.
And I'd be surprised if it wasn't subbed, to be honest.
In any case, I'm rather jealous of them hosting High and Mighty Color.

That's fantastic. I might just have to make a trip down to Seattle.

The anime fans in Seattle are so lucky!
I can't wait for the Trigun movie to be released. I hope it will be good, some of the anime films I have seen based on TV or manga weren't that great (examples, Inu Yasha movies, Naruto movies, even the Ranma 1/2 movies).
I sure wish the anime convention in my area would have this, it would encourage more to go. (I'm still going, but there are times when I wonder if I should.)

As explained by our Director of Relations when she announced it yesterday, the official answer is "we don't know."
Given that this is before the Japanese release, she said that the odds of it being dubbed are pretty much 0. She doesn't know on the status/possibility of subtitles, but she's trying to get us at least the script, if we can't get subtitles. I took her explanation as a 50/50 chance it'll have subs in some form or another.

Oh man, I can probably make it up to Seattle for one day. I AM GOING ON THE DAY OF TRIGUN!!! If I can go at all, that is.
I hope someone who actually speaks English did the subtitles - oh man the voice over for the trailers was HILARIOUSLY bad.

Seeing as both cons are on opposite sides of the country, I don't see them being in that much competition with each other. Sure, some people might have traveled to one or the other, depending, but I don't see any significant amount of fans deciding to fly across the country to attend one or the other if they weren't already planning on doing such. But yeah, great guests for both. One of these years it's looking like I'll have to seriously consider going to Sakura-Con if they keep getting good guests like this. But, Anime Boston usually isn't lacking in the least, and this year doesn't look like an exception either so I'm quite happy to attend that.

Wow, that is impressive (and a bit telling... maybe not though)
I just hope nobody tries to pirate the movie, either that or the security is high enough to keep people from recording the film (without interrupting it of course) I'd like to give people benefit of doubt, but I tend to think some people are jackasses at times.
