A lot of bad luck for the VAs for Mr. Satan lately, with this happening and earlier, Chris Rager's accident.
He was also Dozle Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam, Bask Om in Zeta Gundam, and Hiromi in Patlabor. If he's passed away, it's a real loss to anime voice acting. He had a very distinctive voice. |

Wow, the Japanese actor for Mr. Satan died a month after the American voice actor was hospitalized...
And the voice actor for Bibidi died too...I know this show is getting on in years but it is still sad

Really one of the most recognizable voices to me in anime and such a great one at that. He will truly be missed. |

He's always been so much fun in roles. THis is very sad if it comes down confirmed. He was one of the viking giants in One Piece.

Not him too, this news was more shocking than the previous passing of the voice of Shojo from One Piece.
But now it's Daisuke Gouri who did three character voices in One Piece, he not only did Dorry the Giant, but as well as Rockstar the rookie crew member of the Red Haired Pirates and he just recently became the voice of Jimbei the last Warlord of the Sea to be introduced in the anime! This was sad news to hear, I was really looking forward in hearing him as Jimbei in the later episodes of One Piece. Those who read the manga already know that the character plays a big part. But apparently they'll have to get someone else to fill in his shoes for Jimbei. If it really is what's been reported, then this is a tragic way for someone like him to pass away. He will be missed the most for this year. He'll always be remenbered for all the deep voiced characters he's voiced in anime. |

Kind of weird that the article doesn't link to his ANN file. Just saying.
But man... I just started to watch DBZ again since last month and I'm on the last season too. That's sad. He did a good number of voices for that series.
