What do we have to do, put a stake through the corporate headquarters of BV?

Shale: Seriously, I was thinking the exact same thing. Honneamise is like the Jason of retail.

What a sad joke.
They try to introduce Japanese style pricing here and predictably, it fails. Naturally their response is to wait a while and then try it again under even worse market conditions. And with bloody Gundam of all things. Gundam has never really caught on that much here. Nobody but a tiny contingent of the most die-hard Gundam fans will buy this.

Not especially interested in Gundam Unicorn, though it did look quite good, but I'd love to watch all the old stuff I haven't seen yet.

We just gotta wait 4-6 months for sales to pickup as the market forces that puppy down to a more reasonable level. But let's give them credit where due, isn't $1/minute for a dubbed BD the best rate yet from their Honneamise label?

Gunbuster was 180 minutes for $65. Even with no dub and a crappified audio track in one episode, that seems like a pretty sweet deal now.

MSRP isn't the price it will actually sell for guys... it's currently listed on Amazon for 35 dollars.

Amazon also does aggressive blu-ray discounts. This can get even cheaper in time.

Everyone does realize that bandai is releasing one episode per volume, on a six episode OVA. Anyway you look at this its a ripoff.
