I can't count how much I have from japan. The one I can think of right off the top of my mind is Zombie Powder.

*raises hand* Meeee. Right now my biggest import is the Matantei Loki manga series. I also import all the latest CLAMP manga, cause their releases are just so pretty , and a select number of other titles I just love and can't get here.

Importing, used to do that... until almost everything I wanted got licenced. Anyways, I imported first two mangas of Ayashi no Ceres, two mangas of Angel Sanctuary, and the complete set of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.
I imported almost the entire collection of Basara from Korea. I know it doesn't count, but I'd like to think so...

I only have four, so my collection isn't nearly as big as the others.
What I have:
Two One Piece information books, one entitled Red, the other Blue.
Doraemon Volume 1 hardcover
Detective Conan Volume 1
I got them when I went to Japantown in San Fransico. They were cheaper than American manga, ranging from $5 (Detective Conan) to $8 (One Piece information books).
P.S. And yes, I meant Japantown, and not Chinatown. I was surprised that one existed.

I buy all my manga untranslated. I suppose for several reasons.
First, If I can read it in Japanese, why buy the translation? It keeps my Japanese in shape to read manga.
Second, I don't trust manga translation, fan or pro. Manga translation can get away with more fudging (just like dubbed anime) because the original language isn't there to contradict you. I'm not saying they do fudge things more; you just wouldn't know if they were.
Third, unlike anime, import manga is cheaper than translated manga even after import markup and shipping.
hakootoko - who gave Sasuga books about $500 at the last two cons he went to

Well um . . . .I don't actually get it from Japan. But I read the translated Inuyasha manga, online, before it hits America. ^___^ At the moment I'm on #37 I think it is. And I've also read the Alice 19th series online before it came to America.
I'm too poor and lazy to get any imported, plus I can't read Japanese characters.

Absolutely! I cannot stand payment $10+ for a manga that costs less than $6 w/tax. What a freaking rip off. Yeah it is flipped, but that is the way it SHOULD have been done from the beginning. I buy mine used and in lots, it is a lot cheaper and faster than waiting for the US companies to release or rerelease them.

yeah, CLAMP's presentation of XXXholic is REALLY well-done... (unlike delrey's...-_-;; did anyone else notice how cheaply yuuko was colored on vol. 2?)
