Didn't expected the next non-Miyazaki film to be based off of another book. I didn't think I'd ever hear the name "Borrowers" again so soon. Funny thing I never knew it was based off of a book until after I've seen the John Goodman version.

Yeah I know, but as a kid there were too many things I didn't even knew were books until the last second.

This may be worth checking out, anything done by Studio Ghibli I'm bound to look forward to. Cause I've watched almost all of their films. Now I'll be curious to see how creative this adaption will turn out.

I would have preferred if they didn't change the setting, but I think it'll be at least a good movie anyway.

Hmm, I have no idea what I as a fan will be doing with this movie. I'm a huge fan of the books which I still have from my childhood, and I HATED the 1997 movie, but that said, even if they pull a Howl's Moving Castle with this movie I don't think you can get much further away from the original material than that last Borrowers film did.

I say this as being a major Earthsea fan as well, yet I haven't even dared look at the film Ghilbi put out for that.
