Is this about the time we start wondering if anime has "jumped the shark?" When the ADD stylings of MTV meet anime, surely the results can't be good. As Hunter Thompson would say, "Big darkness. Soon come."

I have a deep rooted disliking of MTV to begin with. And "ADD styling" oh so fits the bill. I am at a complete loss. I'm all for trying to get anime out there and noticed....but I don't know that I want MTV being the ones who are advertising it....

I have the schedule. this is july 3rd
Heres the schedule on 10 AM on mtv2 10am-12pm spiderman 12-2 pm beavis and butthead 2-3:20 pm galerions: rion 3:30-5 pm beavis and butthead 5-8 pm celebrity death match 8-9pm aeon flux 9pm is andrew wk 10-11pm beavis and butthead 11-12:30 am galerions: rion 12:30-3:30am aeon flux 3:30-5:30 beavis and butt head |

some list they've shown aeon before on mtv and stuff and man does it suck. And those other shows are just cartoons and aren't japanese either but meh. Galerions isn't that great a show and its based off a video game of the same name. bleh

Yeah, but it looks like an animation festival... I think the Press Release was wrong. I tried to call MTV, but no answer at the PR dept, I'll try again tomorrow. |

Or they could be subscribers to that blindingly obnoxious "anime are any cartoon not 4 kiddies hur hur!" mindset. I mean, they do have one of the biggest instigators of that ideal in their lineup (Aeon Flux). And not to join the bandwagon, but MTV aren't the most...worldly and intelligent group of people around... |
