Now if only ADV was still around. Good thing I have become a member but haven't really gotten to stream watching.

They are, more or less, just under different names.
Hmm, they've got Blue Drop listed, that didn't get a dub IIRC, so I can watch it subtitled. I was interested in it but it was never finished in fansubs.

Technically speaking, ADV died out under the ADV label. However, I am glad the company still exists under other companies.

Yeah, as part of the event Anime Network is premiering Blue Drop, Special A and Polyphonica.

Ugh...Anime Network, your player is epic fail! I tried watching 3 different shows, and I can't get any sound!

I'm not getting any problems. Are you using the latest browser version and latest Flash?
If you can't load anything, you can post on their forums with your browser, ISP, connection info and their tech department will try to find out what the problem is.

Can't agree with you on this one. The player's working fine, and trust me when I tell you this, it's much better than their previous version.
You may want to validate a few settings on your computer to verify it's an issue with the stream.
Mute, my advice, being the first.
ADVNation, sorry, but I have to jest with this: Your username is no longer valid. Time for SentaiFilmworksNations, eh? Of course, you've a variety now.

Correct they're known as Section 23.
TAN is now known as Valkerie. So shouldn't it be called Valkerie Nation?

Remember that Section 23 is the main label, Sentai will be the sub-only label with John Ledford, Sephrim is the ADR studio that will dub again in the future, and Valkerie is the TAN division.
ADV is still very much alive, it's just that they got qoute "Chopped up!" From Amy Fortsyte.

Sort of, the assets went to Aesir while Section23 Films handles distribution and marketing. So it depends which division one means when one refers to ADV. Details are thin and a lot of the information that is out on the ether is mostly from building on speculation.
Anime Network is still known as Anime Network, there's just new paperwork/owner (Valkyrie Media).
They are indeed more alive now though than they have been in a while. The last 5 months and lately there's been a surge of activity, work, etc vs. early 2008 when Sojitz and ADV were splitting up.
