Well, we're never going to get to see Karen Bee or Tsukihi Phoenix I believe.

Not until Mayoi Jiangshi and Tsubasa family come out. Then maybe, just maybe, we'll have enough for a season 2.

Bakemonogatari I & II = Hitagi Crab, Mayoi Snail, Suraga Monkey, Nadeko Snake and Tsubasa Cat.

Kizumonogatari is the prequel and contains one story, Koyomi Vamp, Koyomi seeing Tsubasa's panties and their first conversation makes up the entire first chapter. You see flashes of Kizu throughout the op in Bake episode 1. There is two sequel novels in Nisemonogatari I and II and they contain Karen Bee and Tsuhiki Phoenix respectively. So for people who wanted too see Araragi's sisters more often...

Two novels on the way in 2010, Kabukimonogatari and Nekomonogatari, they will contain Mayoi Jiang Shi and Tsubasa Family respectively. Nekomonogatari is the golden week prequel, the incident which was briefly mentioned in episode 1 when you see the images of Neko Tsubasa. Also this is where Meme helped out Tsubasa which has been referred to.

Just watched episode 11, greatly reduced use of the flash card of we couldn't get the scene done on time.

Interesting to see the events on Golden week coming out finally.
spoiler[ Neko mode is some how cute looking >.> I like looking at it not in that way I mean in the way that it looks like it has a big plot point]

If there's ever going to be a season 2, there going to do the prequel stuff till the other novels come out. Which I wouldn't mind it would be interesting as then it would end up setting up the story where watching now in a whole new way.

Well I have like episode 11, it had the standard feeling of building up and a bit of backstory on characters, but we also got to see a couple "cat" moments. I kind of like the cat parts, I wonder if anyone else got a similar feeling of Catwomen or Black cat from Marvel.

Tsbasa's family situation was kind of interesting, I can see why she was acting like she has. I wonder if we will get a "Neko Tsubasa Mode" OP in a future episode.

I'll kill them if they don't Anime catgrin Mewhaha!...

Ok, that was a fair retribution for the ... yeah, whatever. The story starts slowly and I expect I'll roll like pig in mud with the next episode.

Absolutely adore the split personality depiction and the energy drain. So free, so demanding, and darn dangerous :] So, it was Tsubasa who started the whole mess, hah.

And more Senjougahara, please. Cool

Ep 11. Tsubasa has been possessed by a cat! Best oddity so far! Neko mode is lovely, and I like addition of 'nya'.

Judging by slow start of the arc these last 5 episodes are going to be great. Koyomi doesn't fail to entertain either: leaving him alone with any girl is potentially dangerous.

I hope they don't include 'eggs'. I know they edited it out later on but damn... that was soo disturbing and wrong it completely ruined 'cute' mood of OP. (we are talking about opener "Neko Mimi Mode" for MoonPhase)

No kidding. "The disappearance of Hitagi Senjougahara" has lasted for three(!) episodes already, I am starting to get the symptoms.

While I must admit that a catgirl with the voice of Horie Yui could make any other show excellent on her own, the serious lack of Senjougahara is... weird, if not disquieting.

Bah, I guess that's a pretty small complaint...

I wonder if Araragi's an oddity magnet and if this question will be raised by the author (sooner or later).

Shinobu (small vampire thing) was also in this episode, I am looking forward to when she will speak, the encyclopedia on this site has the seiyu as Aya Hirano. Also Bakemonogatari is realy having a habit of leaving out alot of characters, we haven't seen heard from Senjougahara and Mayoi in ages. I was surprised though how open Araragi is to the people who have been invoolved in oddities, looked like he didn't hide much from Tsubasa or even Nadeko.

I don't mind having Senjougahara not being around >.>

I have to be the only person who doesn't care for her character. ,atoi on the other hand I'm betting she will not show up again still way later down the road.

I'm a happy man as long as Senjougahara, Sengoku or Hanekawa (and Meme) appear in the episode.

The opening used this episode didn't really fit in (yes I know it's been used before), instead of that they could've given us a few seconds with Senjougahara.
Not much to talk about the episode other than Hanekawa looks even better with cat ears and white hair. I'd prefer if she didn't talk, but then we'd have a hole in the plot.

Episode 11 was just awesome. And most of it happened in pretty much the same place at pretty much the same time!

Araragi's, er, flawed to say the least Twisted Evil, but it doesn't seem artificial, like something tacked on to keep him from being a "standard" protagonist, which would more or less make him the "standard" non-standard protagonist. That Araragi is a character with some depth seems like it's going to be especially important this arc.

Tsubasa's persistent appearances in each arc showed us spoiler[at least two storylines that were being set up to resolve or at least kinda reconcile sooner or later, and it's finally here Smile ] It was pretty clear that Araragi and Tsubasa spoiler[have been friends for some time now, seems like from the beginning of high school or so (wonder if we'll find out exactly how Araragi ended up Class Vice President or whatever).]

It's also pretty clear that since they, well, spoiler[have their own issues, these "best/good friends", even when talking to each other about "between best/good friends" kinda matters, play their proverbial cards close to the vest (more in the case of one of them), and maybe don't account for certain things as well as they could (in the case of the other).] Another thing that I think I noticed -- unlike with spoiler[Hitagi, Mayoi, Kanbaru and Sengoku], Araragi's never been seen even, say, spoiler[tapping Tsubasa's shoulder out of concern for stuff like a sudden headache or unexpected transformation a single time in this entire series]. Tsubasa's actions spoiler[at the bookstore don't count in my book.] Seems like SHAFT has shown this spoiler["absence" or literally "hands-off" relationship] intentionally.

IMHO, it's fairly obvious to many of us what at least one source of spoiler[Class Rep-chan's problem] is. The fun is gonna be how this all plays out. My 2 cents, of course there's no easy answer for this situation, and that's leaving spoiler[Tsubasa's parents out], but at the same time, one character can at least take an important step in being part of the "solution," if only that character can realize a thing or two and/or express something that I think hasn't been expressed all that well by the character so far this series, something along those lines. If you think I'm hedging, I'll just say spoiler[*cough ahoge cough*]

It was already complicated enough spoiler[without the oddity] -- can't wait to see how, or if, spoiler[certain characters can move forward from this]. SHAFT has the opportunity to hit a grand slam on this one. I wonder if there's enough time in the last TV episode to get at least a partial resolution of the arc.

Here's the 90 sec PV for the Hitagi Crab Bluray/DVD being released on the 30th. Shows off some new parts of Stable Staple we haven't heard so far. I really hope SHAFT add a few scenes on each volume. Also seems all 6 bluray volumes are in the top ten on amazon. Other anime shows I've seen rank highly on Amazon preorders were Macross Frontier and K-ON! which are two of the highest selling shows of the last two years.
