I want to see any news about negima! related stuff that hasn't been released in the U.S. yet. I heard that there's an OAV that comes with the japanese version of the Negima! manga, and I'm quite curious about it.

I'd also like to know if there's any way I can at least see anything else that's new about Negima!, A TRAILER!, SOMETHING!, ANYTHING!

Even if it's in japanese, I don't care.
(Yes, I'm a fan of course.)

I really want to see the whole manga series turn to anime,
but I'm not sure if that's ever going to happen. Sad

How about using the giant anime encyclopedia attached to this site which is quite useful.

EX:
anime#9721
anime#10713

If it isn't there we probabally don't know anything else about it.

your talking about White wing and Another world

there not getting a U.S release as far as any one knows and Funimation has yet to give the "we have the rights" type deal past the 2nd anime.

There's a official website for it, it has the PV for it and what not

The common belief is that because the OAVs are only available bundled with a limited edition version of the manga, the Japanese companies aren't looking to distribute the rights, as that would increase the number of copies available. And then it wouldn't be a limited edition item. Which means if one without an understanding of Japanese or access to the means to pre-order the LE manga wants to view it, one would needs to resort to unsavory methods.

so I'd have to import it, if possible?

The only thing is, I don't know if the dvd would be able to be played on an american brand name dvd player...

I'm teaching myself japanese, and my word vocabulary for it reaches a fair height...about 100 words...not including numbers.

The Japanese DVD would not work on a USA DVD player, cause the Japanese are in Region 3, and the USA are in Region 1. Strangely enough though, the Blu-Ray DVDs for Japan & USA are the same region (or so I have heard, still not buying into Blu-Ray any time soon).

Unless of course you have some way of getting a region-free DVD player...

I think the DVD manga volumes are out of print already. Only way you can get one is thought Ebay or some 3rd party source.

But you would need to un-region lock a DVD player for the DVD to work.

If you want the new set of OVAs you can pre-order them from Japan. But Volume 1's pre=orders stopped weeks ago so your out of luck

Okay I can be of some assistance for you.

The new OVA is called Magister Negi Mag: Ala Alba
or Magical Teacher Negima!: The White Wings.
It starts immediately after the Remake Edition of Negima leaves off.
Negi wants to find his father or anything that will help him find his father, so he take a small group of his students with him into the magical world. I won't tell you who or how it ends but there will be another OVA to go with it...

White wing starts right as the last battle of the School festival ark happens. There's a big flash back and what not to cover the last 5 mins (still don't understand why that didn't get it's own anime series)

The re-make Negima!? is off in it's own little Neo pactio land. Which has nothing to do with the main storyline of any of the OVAs

White Wing (Ala Alba) Covers chapters 176 to 182 of the manga (chapter 181 and parts of the school festival being a Drama CD)

Another World ( Mō Hitotsu no Sekai Covers chapters 183 + and will be 4 episodes along with a chance of a movie to finish off the Magical World Ark.

It's too bad I can't get ahold of it now.

I seen the trailer though, and it didn't let me down at all!
It looks awesome!
(I guess knowing some japanese came in handy for me...but I still can't read most kanji...)

It's definitely not the kind of anime that should be only in Japan...
