thats good that there putting it on a monthly release. More time to work on a chapter meaning the mangaka will not get hurt trying to push out a chapter every week.

I'm surprized they didn't do this earlier. It was pretty obvious she wasn't able to keep up with a weekly release schedule.

This is great news. Hopefully this pace will suit Hoshino better.

I might have to start reading this series again. My problem with D. Gray-Man was always that it seemed rushed, particularly in the artwork department, which led to a lot of confusing layouts. Hopefully a monthly pace will help to fix that.
Now if only someone would think to shift Hunter X Hunter to a monthly schedule as well.

Hopefully this helps her in terms of health, and perhaps the manga as well in terms of artwork and pacing.
The recent InuYasha anime announcement has also got my hopes up for more D.Gray-Man anime once the manga is finished.
I can but dream anyway...

I think this is the best thing that can happen to this manga - no more SJ meddling and the story can recieve a change of pace.
Also, the art has been absolutely superb recently, so a monthly release could mean it's even better.
I never really got into D Gray Man, but after reading the recent chapters I have really started to enjoy it again.

Hopefully this places D. Gray-man back on track with fewer hiatuses (am I spelling that correctly?). Katsura seemed to be drowning with being serialized in a weekly anthology. Also is anyone aware as to whether the most recent chapter was released in Jump Square or Akamaru Jump?

As far as the anime goes, I think it was said that the anime was on hiatus because of the delay in the manga. It was better than wasting time with fillers. Although the monthly release will likely mean the anime might not resume for a few years while enough episodes are created, and even then it could be a relatively short series. (It would take about two years for 24 episodes.) So I wouldn't expect the anime to return anytime soon.

I'm quite happy with this arrangement.
And why does this show up under (and link to) D.Gray-man (TV) instead of D.Gray-man (manga)? Just slightly curious and not too much of a deal.
