This seems really interesting. The story sounds good and the concept is unique. It looks like Minetaro Hirai is a new director so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes over.

*sigh*

Okay, while blue eyes can crop up in rare instances, in general blue eyes are recessive trait and don't dominate over brown ones; yet every last half-white, half-Japanese character seems to have blue eyes! Well, at least she's not blond, which would be flatly genetically impossible, yet shows up all the time in anime.

Er, I think you might be taking this a little bit too seriously.

Genetic improbability be damned, the idea of a story set during WWII about the experiences of a half-Westerner in rural Japan is an interesting premise.

Ehm, you've got one too many "no"s in that title. "Aoi no hitomi" makes no sense. It's "Aoi Hitomi no Onna no Ko no Ohanashi".

For this movie, perhaps, which looks like a nice idea for a children's movie - but the rather racist stereotype of Westerners as all blond-haired and blue-eyed (and big boobed, for women) is one of my biggest pet peeves that shows up again and again in anime.
