It's nice to know the Japanese won't be fooled by crap the second time like us.

Second one was even better than the first. It's a shame to know the Japanese were fooled into thinking it wasn't.

Eh, Revenge of the Fallen was more of the same to me. Except for the choppy editing.

This. And not even less Shia as less Shia/Megan Fox relationship crap. Without it, his screen time is already lessened quite a bit. But I don't mind the Marines or John Tutturo.
But at least this time there were decepticons other than Megatron that actually had personality!

I did watch the first transformers movie, very impress by the effect, but felt that the movie was rush a bit.

I actually thought that this movie was better than the first. I just ignored the sorry excuse for a plot and just enjoyed the action scenes. It had some funny moments, and watching the CGI work and the robots duke it out was a sight to see. I didn't see the first Transformers movie in theaters, so actually going to watch it on the big screen made a difference.

It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but I can see why they most likely didn't like it. The first was very generic, but this one was VERY cultural. What I mean by that is, there were MANY jokes in the movie that are just plain American/English language jokes that probably don't translate well (and to be honest didn't sound to well to the native audience, lol).

The Transformers franchise is more or less dead in Japan. It's been limping since we've entered the 2000's. The first movie floundered there, and this one is doing worse. It surprised me when Paramount announced they'd be releasing Revenge Of The Fallen in Japan before most other markets, since they've seemingly ignored the franchise for such a long time.
As for Revenge Of The Fallen, it is a better movie if you wanted more robots duking it out. You know in the first half hour it seems like there is more robots in that half hour then the all of the 2007 movie. Even though I knew it was going to happen I got teary eyed when Prime dies, then when he comes back and combines with Jetfire, wow .[/spoiler]
