So, only a week and a day until Naka-Kon 2009. Anybody else going? I'll be making the 3-hour drive to attend Naka-Kon for the 4th time. It's in a new facility yet again, but I kind of like that feeling of excitement and discovery in exploring a new hotel. I like this con, it's big enough to be interesting/exciting, but still small enough to have good interactions with other congoers and Guests of Honor. They've got a great staff, and a good array of events. I myself like pwning the competition in their gameshows and trivia contests. I'm saddened that their Name That Tune event will be on a "just for fun" basis, after winning prizes in it for the last 2 years. But this time there's a Jeopardy-type event Evil or Very Mad

. So it should be a fun time overall, and not a bad deal for the $35 prereg price that I'll make back via volunteering.

If anyone wants to meet up, contact me here or stop by the Anime Nebraskon room party on Saturday night. Just ask for me by screen name, I'm sure someone will be able to point me out. Or I might be at the Nebraskon dealers' room table at random hours.

I'm also going to Naka-kon. I'm really looking forward to it. This will actually (sadly) be my first year going. I meant to go last year but didn't want to pay at door fees. But I pre reged this year. It seems like this year there's going to be some interesting panels and events going on. I'm looking forward to seeing Romio x Juliet, which seems interesting. I also like the fact that it's slowly increasing in size every year. But if we grow out of this new hotel we're going to have to go to the convention center in KC which isn't that great of a place. But I have high hopes for this con and look forward with trying to meet Zalis116 in person.
