Hopefully the trend from the latter half of the series will continue, where fanservice was reduced, budget was increased, and the plot took off. Then again, Gonzo don't always do too well with sequels, so I'm not holding my breath.

I'd rather have another season of Seto, but I know what brings in the DVDs. Atleast Gonzo hasn't descended into Kadokawa level trolls. I know a bunch of lolicons that are going to be very happy today.

yayyyyy!!! i love strike witches! i deff cant wait for this!!!
defff hope it gets licensed! i would deff buy it!
funi, u better get on this!
Also, I only hope that the planned staff cut at Gonzo doesn’t affect the quality of the animation too much. If they’re smart enough, they’ll realize that Strike Witches is their new cash cow.

After all the employee reductions and stuff, I guess they'll need their pantless lolis to bring in the money....

While the show if full of fan service, it manages to combine that with an interesting array of characters and decent plot, which is probably why it’s done so well. And the reason why its basically #1 in Japan right now... If it wasn't then why the hell would it even get a second season? You really should check it out before basing your opinions on something you haven't given a chance on, that's all I'm saying...

Right, except that would require watching the fansubs, and we all know my stance on those

It's nowhere near #1, but it's one of Gonzo's most profitable franchises in recent memory.

If you'd put down the bigotry momentarily, a cursory google would have revealed that it was streamed on crunchyroll.

It MIGHT be some gigantic "April Fools" joke.
But if this is true; you have to remember that the only other title that was GONZO's bread-and-butter was Vandread.
And Vandread was this gigantic punch into the male groin in terms of plot and character use. And that show had tapped into Japan's country-wide mindset of the hatred for any guy who looks and does better than the rest of them.
A second season of Strike Witches sounds nice... But it might turn into some animated piece of Vandread-style anti-male hate-mongering whilst it gets royally screwed with the fanservice like Rosario+Vampire. I'm fearing for the future here.
