Nice! The quality in HQ mode isn't bad at all, and they even added (very simple) karaoke w/translations to the opening theme.

Damn, and I was going to use this to check out the 00 dub. Just have to wait for the DVDs, then.

Not available in the UK is ridiculous.
Region locked Youtube should not exist. Ever.

Bandai doesn't hold any rights at all to these series outside of the R1 region. Therefore, they can't stream their version of the series anywhere but in the R1 region. Seriously, do we have to go through this same song-and-dance each and every time another title is streamed somewhere? If you want to blame anyone, blame the original Japanese producers who don't give out worldwide streaming rights.
(That being said, the Canadian restriction doesn't make any sense at all.)
I swear, it feels like companies read my mind every once in a while. Just yesterday, I was commenting in one of the more...heated threads about how few distributors and studios have content available, and I was specifically thinking of Bandai and their rather large catalog of most of my favorite titles. And the very next day, we get this announcement. Sweet.

YAY!!! Thanks, Bandai! I kinda got behind on watching 00 on Sci-Fi, and decided to wait for the DVDs. Now I can watch it sooner!
I'll still buy the DVDs later on, of course.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I've been meaning to try out Code Geass, so this is a great way.

I gotta admit, I kinda like this. I do get irritated waiting for Adult Swim on Demand to update with the next episode of Code Geass, so if they do a faster update than ASOD, I'll be happy.
I want to start watching R2 soon. XP

While I understand why Bandai has to do the lockouts (not authorized to distribute Code Geass in those places) it really does seem a bit pointless.
Especially with Canada. Why can't the deal be for all North American distribution? Setting Mexico aside due to the language barrier, Canada REALLY ought to be packaged with any US deal. Same region coding, same language (mostly, I know you've got quite a bit of French speakers there too) and while I'm not very familiar with them, Canada's laws governing digital media and TV shows/anime in general don't seem THAT drastically different in effect from US laws on the subject.

Bandai Ent's. version isn't the only offering of Code Geass on Youtube still.

Yes, it is worth doing this song and dance every time.
Eventually they might get the message, and in the meantime it vents frustration those locked out have with this backward thinking.
Also last time I looked, Beez (who have Geass and 00 in Europe) was part of Bandai, so either this is down to existing contracts they have with other people or poor communication/politics within the Bandai machine.

Well, Bandai now joins Media Blasters and Toei in my mental list of "companies whom I do not like".
