Your image is a satisfactory description for this announcment. KyoAni has now successfully trolled whether a second season airs or not. I wonder if assassins are listed in the Yellow Pages...

Be thankful it's on at all. I hear repeats of anime are really uncommon in Japan.

ouch... not a lot of fans will be happy about this... they rose people's hopes just to stomp them into the dirt. Why would they even rebroadcast? If somebody wanted to watch the first season they could just buy the DVD's. There seems to still be some hope, since no official announcement has been made. They could at least tell us the real airing date instead of leaving us in the dark(as always) , that would hopefully drive off the lynch mobs...

I'm not anyway near as hardcore as a lot of people here (in terms of digging up obscure information) and I saw this coming from a mile away.
Considering how popular this series was if they had really been planning on air a Season 2. They would have annouced it as "Haruhi Season 2" or Dissappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya," or "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2"
Not "Haruhi Suzumiya TV Anime Reportedly to Relaunch in April."
First off, "reportedly" and "RE-launch" should be immediate flags to let people know not to jump the gun.
Anyway that said, I too am dissapointed that this won't be season 2.

This mislead was SO intentional. I can't believe it, who DOES something like this?

Don't forget the timing, its supposed to premiere the same time as FMA 2 but that was announced months ago, not 4 months before it airs. Theirs isn't enough time for buildup for such an epic event.

You are absolutely screwing with me. Screw kyoani, what a bunch of absolute douchebags. Either Newtype or Kadokawa is to blame for this, they even hyped the bloody thing in the previous magazine of Newtype for a rerun?

Well I always had this feeling that KyoAni was the most overrated studio in the industry, and this announcement just helps my cause.

Animation production studios generally don't have the capital to fully fund productions nor are they the sole voice on a production committee. You are likely blaming a entity that has little to no control over the situation.

For the record, Kadokawa Shoten publishes Newtype. More importantly, at the very least, wait until you read the article before assuming it was misleading.
