Has anyone else had it with these stupid figures that force the lolita jailbait girls of Eva to cosplay in all these ridiculous, fetish-y costumes? Seriously, it's getting ridiculous. Leave it to Japan to keep oversexualizing 14-year-old girls with psychological issues.

Chestical...
*giggle-snort* Been a while since I heard that word used, thanks for making me laugh for a change Rob. AND YAY, YOU'RE ACTUALLY GOING WEEKLY! Person number 1 out of eight reporting for duty. I'm not much of a toy/figurine/statue buyer myself, but I've always enjoyed this article and it was definitely my second fav after The Click for what amusing humor Brian provided. I look forward to next week. |

This article needs to be more regular, definitely. It's as much fun as Mike Toole's old Hilarious Bootleg Toy Showcase (I'm sure you dollar store and Big Lots shoppers have fond memories of that feature).

I have the Grimlock Rei (my friend and I bought the figures together and split them between us), which was apparently controversial at its time? *shrug* I bought it because my friend wanted them, and I thought the Rei figure was cute. But...yeah, there's not really anything you could find cute about these figures.
Yay, glad you're going weekly! I'm not an avid collector, but I do love reading up about different figures I've never heard of and what can make/break a good figure (so I know for purchases in the future). Keep it up! Edit: While looking for the ninja Rei figure, I found your other catgirl figure: http://www.anistop.com/EVARPFIG.html Rei in pink is...ugh. |

Somehow I sort of want these, if only because they're cheap, but I have a rather bizarre collection of slutty Rei figures. I say bizarre because I'm, in fact, a girl. Unfortunately, these are probably bad enough that my family would disown me if they found them on my shelves.
Also, yay weekly column! Am I perhaps the 8th commenter and therefore #8 of your 8 readers? |

just the idea that someone would buy this crap disturbs me immensely.

Rei is modelled in such a way that she shows some sort of personality? Surely these figurines cannot be official.
To their credit though, at least these models make original use of those devices on the pilots' heads. I never quite knew what they were for myself. |

Rei's cat dish would be much nicer if it came empty, so you could fill it up yourself.

I don't quite know how to interpret that. How voluminous is the dish anyway? |

I am horrified, yet slightly amused. That is all. And congrats on going weekly, I can't wait to read more! |
