Not sure what to think of this... Reeves being involved has turned me off. Spike is one of my favourite characters up there with the joker. For me it is almost impossible to live up to my expectations as i have my own personal vision even the much loved dark knight couldnt capture the joker i wanted (waits to get bashed)
However, the annoucement of the producers is promising. Although Stephen Chow is ment to be producing dragonball and that looks aweful.

Music music music music is what I want to hear about. D:
I might be able to suffer through a brain-damaged, frozen-faced Spike (here's hoping it's not that bad), but if the soundtrack ain't kickin', I ain't there.

What if Reeves actually did it as a gag role and played Spike as though he were Ted Logan? At least we could get some fun out of it...

That would be...something
Well, at least a lot of the original staff is involved. I'm not too keen on Keanu Reeves, but the movie might end up being half-decent, at least.

I'm actually kind of excited to have Reeves involved. He is a huge fan of the source material, rather than someone just signing on, and I think he's got the right look for Spike. All he has to do is work on his smug smile.

Oh well. It's not like it really had a chance of being critically acclaimed. Let's just hope it's something fans can enjoy.

Yeah, that's good news for me. I'm kind of buzzed about this now.

I just hope it isn't going to be one of those origin-type stories where all the exposition is thrown in the first hour before something actually happens.
I'd rather something in media res like Knockin' on Heaven's Door was. We don't need to watch an hour's worth of Clark Kent dicking around Smallville and the North Pole before donning the blue and red tights. Or Darth Vader winning a damn Pod Race. Batman Begins was kinda obligatory though.

This is bullshit.
I'd much rather have Plank play Spike instead of Keanu Reeves.
At least Plank has personality.

I just need to read the magic words "Music by Yoko Kanno, performed by the Seatbelts," and then we can be safe that it's going to be a good movie.

No, he wasn't making fun of you, he was mocking Keanu's rather low-key "Whoa" in the first Matrix movie;.

I do believe my mind just stopped. This could be all fine and good but I'm a real doubter when Reeves comes up. We'll see once there's a trailer and stuff though, it's really too early to tell if this will be good or bad but...but...Reeves...and...and...Spike....*sigh*

If the original Japanese producers are involved like they say, then this has the potential to be absolutely amazing. There's less chance of Hollywood screwing it up that way.
