First off I want to warn you that there are spoilers for anyone that's not up to the Arrancar arc.
Okay, I decided to make this a separate thread cause I figured there'd be a few responses so I didn't want to put it in the usual Bleach thread. I also chose the manga section cause its further ahead than the anime so most people will be more up to date. Let me explain what this thread is for. These are just speculation and opinions or fantasies about how you want the last fight scene of Bleach to be between. Bleach has a large roster of characters and any one of them can be a part of the fight to determine the fate of soul society and Karakura town. Oh and let me clarify that by final fight I mean against Aizen, Ichimaru, and Tosen. Of course it might not even turn out this way. They might kill em off one at a time instead of fighting them all together. This is just how I imagine it will be, or how I hope it'll be. Also since there's no way to determine when this fight will take place, I'm going to assume the guys in Hueco Mundo can participate in the fight as well. The official final fight will be written by Tite Kubo. These are just personal thoughts. Alright I'll just start off with Ichimaru. I think the perfect opponent for him would be Byakuya. If I remember correctly they were both promoted to captain at around the same time. Also Ichimaru has toyed with, played mind games with, and nearly killed Rukia. Seeing as how Byakuya has been getting really protective of her lately, he'd be pretty pissed. Well anyway, I think they'd be a good match. For Tosen it seems pretty obvious that he'll fight Komamura. Their whole friendship thing needs to be settled after all. Though Zaraki should be able to beat him no problem. Aizen's the tough one since there are so many choices. I think Ukitake would make for a good opponent. I would choose Genryusai but he never seems to do anything so I'm ruling him out. Shinji would also be a candidate since he was Aizen's spoiler[captain in the past. ]Oh and might I also note that Aizen has been using the Hokyoku to turn hollows into arrancar. But the Hokyoku should also let him gain the powers of a hollow as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Aizen has a hollow mask like Ichigo and the Vizard. That would make him an even tougher opponent than before. Anyway, even though I'd like to see him fight Ukitake(and maybe Kyoraku too), I have a feeling Ichigo's gonna be a big part of the last fight. Personally I'd prefer it if Ichigo handled someone like Ulquiorra. I just don't think Ichigo should be able to handle Aizen. He's out of his league. Well, yeah anyway, that's how I picture it going down. If you wanna give your own opinion on how you'd like to see it end go ahead and post away. If this thread turns out good, I wouldn't be surprised to see one for Naruto. |

No, not at all. Sorry if I confused you. The manga still has plenty of life left in it(hopefully). I just figured Aizen would be their final boss. It does seem to be coming to a conclusion based on the fact that a lot of the arrancar have been beaten. Unless they get some new enemy after Aizen(I highly doubt it) it may end in the forseeable future. It's bound to come to a conclusion some day but I'm sure that moment is at least a few months if not years away. I hope Tite Kubo doesn't draw it out endlessly though.

I actually like your pairing and the reasoning behind them. I do think that all three former captains are going to fight more than one captain though. If the captains are on par with some of the espadas than those three former captains should be stronger than the SS captains. Well here's my pairing:
Ichimaru - Byakuya then Yoroichi as the final fight. I think Ichimaru will totally own Byakuya and have his but killed off by Yoroichi. Have either of them shown their bankais? There has to be a reason they haven't revealed their bankais yet. Tozen - Komamura then Zaraki. I want to say Zaraki would lose too, cause I really want to see Ichigo's dad fight him. I know it sounds weird but it'll complete my former captains vs the non-vizard former captain. I know they never said Ichigo's dad wasn't a former captain, but I have a gut feeling he was. Why else would all his children be apt at seeing spiritual energy. Unless they're mother was a former member of soul society. Aizen - I have a feeling this will be a long carried out battle. But I think it will be Ichigo, Shinji then Urahara. Aizen won't kill Ichigo or Shinji but he'll definitely take them out easily. |

Oh yeah. I totally forgot about Ichigo's dad. I really want to see him fight too. And maybe Uryuu's dad also.

Doesn't anyone wonder if the KING and the royal guards of Soul society are going to show up and do something after Azien is destroyed! Also on episode 62 when Aizen, Tousen and Gin were lifted into the air by the Menos Grande's yellow beam of light and everyone from SS saw something behind the Gillians which looked like a purple eye. Does anyone think that maybe Ichigo might need to destroy that thing later on if he fights Aizen? Well thats my worries about whether Bleach is coming to an end but seriously I think that Bleach isnt going to end because I think its got alot of stuff to talk about like the other characters for example Yammamoto ( exucse my spelling), Ichigo's father and Ishida's father.

Kubo Tite vs. The Legions of underwhelmed fans who are tired of boobs and forgettable characters. Now that would be something I'd finally be interested about in Bleach. |

What I'd LIKE to see: Shinji kicking Aizen's ass. And finishing him off, no Ichigo in at the last minute to save the day. I know it won't happen, but that's what I'd like to see.
We've Byakuya's. It's those bajillion swords, remember? He used it against Ichigo in the Soul Society arc, then later against the Espada with the eyes.
Oh, goodness sakes alive I hope not! I want this series to end. |

Personally, I am also a bit underwhelmed with Bleach. That makes me a bit sad, because up untill fairly recently I still had hopes that things would turn back around. For the longest time, I really got a lot of enjoyment out of the series. Now I just read on knowing that more than likely I will be dissapointed.
This thread is just one step short of fan-fiction.... but I'll toss my own wishes out there, even though it's all random, and not likely to happen. As far as who I would like to see in the final battle, I hope that the Vizard turn on everyone because of their exile and join with Aizen (preferably Aizen's plan all along, keeping him from bieng a one trick mastermind). Three captains, with hollow powers or not, do not make even sides in the battle, and I just feel that the side of "good" should not have an overwhelming advantage. Also, I would like to see a major defeat for soul society in the current battle, causing a reason for Aizen, the Vizard, and the remaining Esparda to fight only against those not in the current battle. That would open up several interesting matchups. Urahara (who probably also has a mask) would face off against Aizen, with Ichigo facing Shinji. Yoroichi against Hyori would be interesting as well. It would be nice to see her zanpaktou for a change, let alone some Bankai. Chad and Renji are about due to actually win a fight sometime in the series, especially Renji, the guy has lost every major fight he has had. Yachiru really needs to fight someone before all is over, and there needs a resolution as to why Tatsuki and Keigo are developing powers so late in the game. I'd also like to see Ichigo get killed while in his body. He would probably end up in Soul Society anyway, but that would keep the series from just doing the same old thing it's been doing. For a series about Shinigami, there sure hasn't been much death. This could tie into the Isshin backstory, and give Ichigo a chance to briefly re-unite with his mother, freeing up some emotional baggage in the process. Ichigo should be way stronger than he is, we are ment to believe that he stood toe to toe with Zaraki two "power ups" ago, yet he has problems fighting people Kenpachi can take down with ease. |

I guess it wasn't clear, but what I was talking about Yoroichi and Ichimaru. Neither of them have revealed their bankais. I can see where the confusion is though. |

Hmm... Let's see, Tatsuki smacking Aizen upside the head!
To the point, then. I want to see Wonderweiss fight someone (Uncertain whether or not he's still alive, same for Grimmjow). But the Vizards are so crucial to the plot, I'd like to see them intervene for a bit too. If Rangiku spoiler[hadn't been horribly mauled by the chimera thing a few chapters ago], I would've liked to see her go against Ichimaru.
Exactly, remember the time when he spoiler[stopped Ichigo's attack with ONE FINGER?! ] Not even Ichigo is that much of a save-the-day special Mary Sue, but we'll see... Oh hey, what if Ichigo's dad stopped Aizen? Now that would be really epic, I'd definitely want to see that after yawning my way through most of the lieutenants' fights. And there's the hope that Ururu will bring out her humongous cannon thing and go utterly ballistic, but that would probably lead to too many good guy casualties... |

Oh I've got it, the face off I want to see for the final battle is Kubo Tite vs. Masashi Kishimoto for the lamest ending. My money is on Kubo.

Remember how spoiler[Aizen's power is to make people see whatever he wants them to see? He didn't block Ichigo's sword with one finger, he just made it look like he did.] I guess it doesn't really change the point that Aizen should still be able to school Ichigo hard, but I'm not expecting any more originality or sound logic out of this series. |

Well, that's a given, since Naruto chapters 429 and 430 (the two most recent) have been easily better than anything from Bleach this year. Anyway, as for who takes on Aizen, it SHOULD be Ichigo by general story-telling standards, but there just doesn't feel much build-up to it. Naruto vs. spoiler[Pain/Nagato], Luffy vs. spoiler[Blackbeard (I suspect he's the final villain)], Ed and Al Elric vs. spoiler[Father], etc. all had certain plot points that built momentum to the fight. But with Ichigo vs. Aizen, it just seems so....impersonal. Sure, Aizen's been responsible for a lot of Ichigo's hardships, but Kubo hasn't really gone to much length to point that out (plus, since this is Bleach, everything worked out for the good guys overall without any permanent loss). That needs to change if Kubo really does plan to have Ichigo be the one to take down Aizen. |
