Oh no! They'd better continue, while I don't want Conan to follow the 'Doreamon Example' and go on forever and ever I don't want the ending to be some quickly slapped together monstrosity either.... I'm sure they'll handle it well for such a popular show, cause if they don't they'll be sorry.

Detective Conan still brings in big ratings so I don't think they will be killing off the series anytime soon. They will more then likey move both to a new timeslot

Sounds like the Japanese tv scene is taking a page from the Australian tv scene.....or am I getting confused?

Petitions are worthless.

D:

But I mean, Conan is one of the highest rated anime now and ever... after like, Sazae-san and Doraemon and Shin-chan and stuff... I really doubt they're going to end it; the manga's still going strong.

I remember people freaking out over One Piece's timeslot change, but it was no big deal.

And I'm probably the only one here that's going to actually care about Yatterman. You know the other show mentioned in the article Laughing

There was another anime mentioned? Kidding. Very Happy

But seriously, give this like a week or two, since it's not until April, and we'll most likely get the actual update of what's happening to these shows, as opposed to everyone assuming the worst when they haven't even been mentioned yet. Yeesh... Something's not going to happen the way you want? Online petition. Want to get a law passed that has no chance of being brought up to government officials by any sane legislator? Online petition... Harry Potter gets delayed? Online petition... When will it stop?

Only when we get over 5,000 signatures and submit it to the President-elect.

The news? That would be an intertesting end for Detective Conan- owned by footage of real murderers and crooks...

How could anyone watch so many episodes of this anime? Every episode is the same plot! Seriously, cancel it and make room for something original. 10 miilion murders solved by the midget is probably enough.

I'm a fan of the series, and I really hope this turn of events won't mean the sudden end of Detective Conan. I'll admit that I want the series to end soon, possibly in the year 2009 (in the manga, then later in the anime adaptation). I mean, you can't just keep on making Shinichi stay as Conan for a long time. There should already be a time to end things.

But I don't want it to end without a concrete resolution of the story. I just don't want it to end up like "Rurouni Kenshin" during its final arcs.

Hopefully, Mr. Aoyama will end the series next year. That way, the anime series would soon follow. For now, I'm hoping that DC will be given a new timeslot or will just be given a brief break on television before coming back once again.
