Group B-17: The Count.
Easy pick. Group B-18: Kyouya Ohtori. Easy choice, master schemer. Group B-19: Naraku. Naraku is in the know and didn't do perverted things unlike Akio. A genius knows their limits, and doesn't let themselves do things that are impulsive. Easy pick. Group B-20: Satsuki Yatoji. Group B-21: Drosselmeyer. Lain is socially retarded. Group B-22: Horo the Wise. Group B-23: Yoshito Kikuchi. Group B-24: Aiizen. Manipulative and good leader. |

I think it's pointless to bother warning them, because it's clear they haven't read the rules, and they probably don't care what you say to them. Most of the time these people aren't really going to do anything to change their vote when you warn them. It stays the same, but in the end their votes get ignored. |

I don't know, Killua did pop into the nominations thread a little, and so might be interested enough to follow up in correcting that vote. It'd be nice, since it looks like Akio and Naraku are currently tied at 10 apiece, too. (Although I kind of expect rainbow, and probably dtm and frentymon might pop in with last minute votes as well)

Actually from what I tallied up on voting, Akio leads 11-9 in the match right now. |

Round 2 Group B is now closed.
Results can now be found here. Notably, killua9101's votes do not count because he/she did not give a full vote roster, as per Rule #5 in the opening post. Only one close race, but given the competitors left it should be interesting next round. Next round should be up within a half-hour. (The broadcast of the final episode of Gurren Lagann on TV is being a bit of a distraction.) |

Group C-17
Lelouch Lamperouge, Code Geass vs. Reinhard, Legend of the Galactic Heroes VOTE CHANGE Due to the arguements provided in favor of Reinhard, I'm going to go with him. Group C-18 Nabiki Tendo, Ranma 1/2 vs. Ken, Digimon Adventure 02 Nabiki because Ranma 1/2 is better than Digimon. Group C-19 Ginko, Mushishi vs. Lupin, Lupin III franchise Lupin due to guesswork. Group C-20 Gendo Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion vs. Griffith, Berserk Sticking with Gendo Ikari because it takes an intelligent a****** to do the things that he did. Group C-21 Lumiere, Kiddy Grade vs. Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa, Full Metal Panic! franchise This one is a bit more difficult but I'm going with Lumiere because spoiler[she's been around longer] and she isn't a klutz. Group C-22 Kiichi Goto, Patlabor franchise vs. Kazukiyo Gowa, Gasaraki VOTE CORRECTIONKiichi Goto because I like cops better than I like businessmen. And the Guide. Group C-23 Yuki Nagato, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vs. Nico Robin, One Piece Sticking with Yuki - I've been with her so far. Group C-24 Nagi Kirima, Boogiepop Phantom vs. Johan Liebert, Monster Unfortunately, monsters do win and I don't think that Nagi is the one to defeat Johan Last edited by LydiaDianne on Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:03 pm; edited 2 times in total |

Minigame:
If I were in this, I'd be tied for first with Marie right now. Alas, I'm not. Dtm remains in second, and Olliff pulls away from being tied with Velocet into 3rd. Key slips down into a three way tie with mow and Cow_boy-Be_bop into 5th. At the other end of the minigame, I've got bad news for Lydia: you're no longer in 17th place; you're now tied for 16th. Template: Group C-17 Lelouche Lamperouge, Code Geass vs. Reinhard, Legend of the Galactic Heroes Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-18 Nabiki Tendo, Ranma 1/2 vs. Ken, Digimon Adventure 02 Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-19 Ginko, Mushishi vs. Lupin, Lupin the 3rd Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-20 Gendo Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion vs. Griffith, Berserk Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-21 Lumiere, Kiddy Grade vs. Teletha "Tessa" Tesstarossa, Full Metal Panic franchise Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-22 Kiichi Goto, Patlabor franchise vs. Kazukiyo Gowa, Gasaraki Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-23 Yuki Nagato, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vs. Nico Robin, One Piece Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: Group C-24 Nagi Kirima, Boogiepop Phantom vs. Johan Liebert, Monster Voting For: Reason: Possibility of Change: |

Wow, I've largely forgotten who I picked in the rounds, but I can feel the coveted last place position. (I could really use those high draft picks for the next tournament) Group C-17 Lelouche Lamperouge, Code Geass vs. Reinhard, Legend of the Galactic Heroes Voting For: Reinhard (changed) Group C-18 Nabiki Tendo, Ranma 1/2 vs. Ken, Digimon Adventure 02 Voting For: Nabiki Group C-19 Ginko, Mushishi vs. Lupin, Lupin the 3rd Voting For: Lupin Group C-20 Gendo Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion vs. Griffith, Berserk Voting For: Griffith Group C-21 Lumiere, Kiddy Grade vs. Teletha "Tessa" Tesstarossa, Full Metal Panic franchise Voting For: Ummm, Tessa? Group C-22 Kiichi Goto, Patlabor franchise vs. Kazukiyo Gowa, Gasaraki Voting For: Kiichi Group C-23 Yuki Nagato, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vs. Nico Robin, One Piece Voting For: Nico Group C-24 Nagi Kirima, Boogiepop Phantom vs. Johan Liebert, Monster Voting For: Johan Liebert Last edited by DerekTheRed on Tue Nov 11, 2008 1:36 pm; edited 1 time in total |

VOTE CHANGE for C-23
Group C-17 Lelouch Lamperouge, Code Geass vs. Reinhard, Legend of the Galactic Heroes Reinhard. Take it from me: Reinhard is better. I am the biggest Lelouch fan there ever was and ever will be, and yet I am voting against him. Group C-18 Nabiki Tendo, Ranma 1/2 vs. Ken, Digimon Adventure 02 Ken. Nabiki doesn't deserve to go far, as she is the prime example that some Anime characters are so stupid (like Ranma and Akane) that fooling them doesn't take a genius. And while Nabiki is smart, she pales in comparison to Ken. Group C-19 Ginko, Mushishi vs. Lupin, Lupin III franchise Lupin. Don't hold it against me; I just think that Lupin's ingenuity surpasses Ginko's. Group C-20 Gendo Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion vs. Griffith, Berserk Griffith. Griffith is very, very smart. Gendo just has information that the audience (and many of the other characters) do not possess, thereby making him seem smarter than he really is. Group C-21 Lumiere, Kiddy Grade vs. Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa, Full Metal Panic! franchise Lumiere. This was an extremely difficult decision. I wonder if it is the right one. The possibility of me changing my vote very much exists. Group C-22 Kiichi Goto, Patlabor franchise vs. Kazukiyo Gowa, Gasaraki Kazukiyo. Because I know most of the votes will vote for Goto, therefore I want to support the underdog. Group C-23 Yuki Nagato, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vs. Nico Robin, One Piece I've always thought that Yuki didn't belong in the Tournament. we are looking for the most intelligent Anime character, not the most powerful computer. Therefore, because I have never seen a single episode of One Piece, I'm voting against Yuki rather than for Nico. Of course, it won't look that way on the scorecard, but those are my reasons. Group C-24 Nagi Kirima, Boogiepop Phantom vs. Johan Liebert, Monster Johan. Can he be stopped? Last edited by dtm42 on Mon Nov 17, 2008 7:37 pm; edited 1 time in total |

All brackets and mini-game scores have been updated at: http://home.comcast.net/~unirizer2/
Also, I'd like to take a moment to make my regular tournament plea for help finding video clips. Starting next round (round 3) each character will have an accompanying video clip so you'll be able to see their cleverness in action and be able to make a more informed vote. I have always made each of these clips by searching through all the episodes of a series by myself (sometimes taking several hours per clip) to find the best example of the topic at hand. Every tournament I make a plea for participants to PM with suggestions of clips so my job can be a little easier and your favorites characters can get the proper representation you feel they deserve. If you'd like help me out just PM me with the following information: 1. character 2. episode # of the clip 3. rough time index of how long the clip lasts. ex. from 11:05 - 12:15 note: it doesn't have to be one big long scene, I can cut and paste it together to bring out the best parts. 4. a brief description of what happens in the scene. I'm trying to keep the total time of each clip somewhere around 5-6 minutes, but will add more time to a clip if it warrants it. Please feel free to PM with as many clip suggestions you want for any character any group anything. The more the better. |

I'm not too worried. IIRC, my Group C and D performances were stronger than anyone else's. Anyway, on another note: Call #1 For Video Clip Recommendations! EDIT: Errr, actually just see ccdx's post above. (He must have posted that while I was typing this one. . .) I will personally take care of Ryoko Uchida from Noein, so that one will not be needed.
