Could we please stop bringing this up as if it's a problem? Those are the official tranlsations as intended by the series creator, Kubo Tite himself. End of story.

I like the term "soul reaper," actually...*shrugs.* I never thought it was a big deal.

More to the point, purists already know and non-purists are less likely to care.

Besides, if you stayed after the credits rolled for the rest of the ending IIRC, it wasn't a bittersweet ending after all.

I did.
In my opinion it's still bittersweet because it's not the Senna that he knew, and obviously he'll never get her back.

I didn't feel like forking out $10 for a movie I'm bound to buy anyway. Maybe I'll rent it before buying it, anime movies that originate from a series usually aren't that great.

Soul Reaper I don't mind, considering from what I understand (could be wrong) the term "shinigami" is actually based on the western concept of the grim reaper. So in that sense, Soul Reaper is fairly accurate.
"Spiritual pressure" I don't like much, if only because it can be clumsy sounding when it's said a lot in rapid succession. I remember one time in the anime it was said like 4 times in the span of a couple sentences, and it sounded unpleasant to me. But I've gotten used to it somewhat now.

The review mentions how they spent a lot of money on the climactic fight scene, and it shows elsewhere. There's a scene where Ichigo is chasing Senna through a crowd, and I thought the scene looked strange. Then I realized that none of the extras were moving at all. The whole scene looked lifeless except for the main characters running amok.
I suppose if you're a big Bleach fan, you'll like it, but I didn't care much for this film.

As a Bleach fan I didn't care much. I knew it wouldn't be good and it really wasn't, just your typical yearly movie based off a popular ongoing shonen franchise.

As a fan of the earlier BLEACH(not the whole soul society thing), I liked the film. I went for a friend but ended up loving it. Especially the new character.

If you still didn't know about this, then it's obviously not important to you, and I'm not gonna waste time looking around for it after all this time. Suffice to say, the first arc of the anime released in Japan was entitled "Agent of the Soul Reaper" on the packaging. Or if you can find any of the old interviews with Kubo from the period after the series was first licensed over here and people started complaining about the term "Soul Reaper", he stated that it's his term, not Viz's, and that he's prone to actually writing out 'Soul Reaper' in his scripts, then has to write it in kanji (obviously) when he draws up the manga. This news is years old. Good luck finding it. -_-

I'm kind of curious why the terms were held up as an issue as well, considering that the anime's dub has been using them for...oh...more than a year now. (I believe the term "reiatsu" has actually been used in the dub once or twice, come to think of it.) The movie was playing in a theater near me, but I wasn't able to get out that night to see it; I really wish I had.

You should have heard the trash talk that the audience was thowing at the intro (Inteview and behind the scenes) that added extra minutes to the movie.Bleach fans don't STFU.Good god, some girl brought cherry aerosol and blasted the whole theater with it.This didn't stop me from watching the movie though.
I can't stand English dubbing and I've only seen 30 episodes of BLEACH subbed but I thought VIZ did a pretty decent job of pulling me into the movie.I did see the Fansub a while back, and I also noticed Viz added a few things that weren't there in the fansub.Extra jokes and dialog. I laugh at Viz's localization when they had Ganryu say "Bring it on!" at the end when he was battling Ichigo.
