Of course, they look nothing like their manga counterparts, but they need the 18-35 female demo to see it, so... Anyway, I'm wondering how much they'll get away with in this one. MW's kind of like an Alan Moore comic: it's better left in its original incarnation.

This is not one of Tezuka's works that I would want to see adapted into live action. I'm actually surprised that this one was chosen. I didn't particularly like MW. Maybe I'm just disappointed because I was hoping for an Ode to Kirihito live action adaptation.

Ode to Kirihito would only work with Miike.

Best news of the day. When I read this I said to myself this needs to be a movie by now. Still...NO PROOF UNTIL PRODUCTION! I hope for this movie though.

This looks promising, but I hope those whom it may offend don't get too vocal against it.

I can understand this complaint for Garai, but Yuki is SUPPOSED to be attractive.

Because a revered manga-god that firmly established a medium in Japan is the same as a well-read comic book creator in the English-speaking world.

Now you just lost me there.

Attractive, but two-faced. I don't see it in that actor.

MW was my sole dissappointment to date regarding Osamu Tezuka's work (I was impressed by the first eight chapters, but the direction that takes the manga afterwards was terrible, i.m.h.o.); though, I think it can do for a good thriller movie.
Anyway, this kind of cinema isn't my cup of tea, so I won't be looking forward to it.

That's sort of the point.

Have you seen any roles that the actor has been in? If not, then stop making baseless assumptions.
