think about it a moment they have finished up alot of their older licenses, even if their not fully out, odds are many of them are done production wise.

shigurui is quite a surprising license as it's a lot about japanese history and quite a serious anime. It'll only cater to the very niche market but interesting to see how they'll market the series.

Hm, well I haven't heard of this one. Don't know...maybe it could be good? I'm getting a bit of a Basilisk vibe off of the enyclopedia page, but this does indeed seem to be more serious (not to mention involving samurai rather than ninja).
Add: It's looking at this point like Funimation's going to run off a whole bunch of these lesser licenses, and then drop a bombshell or two at ACen/AX. Now, if only I could get to L.A....

And your definition of "good" would be...?
Myself and others on AoD are already hyped about this.
Aside from Guardian of the Sacred Spirit, this is the best license of 2008 so far.

Finally a surprising and noteworthy license! I just hope it delivers after all the good things I've rode on various blogs, I'm pretty hyped right now.

I agree. While I haven't seen Shigurui yet, it being from the director of Texhnolyze is enough to get me excited about this license. Also, Seishi Minakami is the the writer. That is certainly not a bad thing.

Let's just remember that they had A Funi Licensing Orgy last year . So I guess they decided to make this a annual event and save the monsters for the cons (AX)

I guess FUNimation's finished up alot of their titles and need more or something. They've been on fire these few days! That's actually pretty good. I wonder if they'll get something like Kamichama Karin or something.
