Hrm. "Already "written a sequence?"
Tarantino wrote a LOT of stuff in his original Kill Bill screenplay that never made it to the finished product. Whether Uma's talking about something that was or wasn't in the script (or just confusing her words) it's hard to tell.
Couple that with on-and-off news about a release for Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair going around for at least 2 years it becomes harder to anticipate this, sans cynicism.
Until there's some actual news about Tarantino actually animating a new sequence I would take this with a grain of salt. Personally though, I would love to see this if it ever comes to fruition.

Yeah I just want The Whole Bloody Affair already. It would be awsome if they created new material for it though.

Uh...this all sounds like throwing water over burnt embers. I mean, Kill Bill's been out for years, and we've seen the Grindhouse since then, on two dvds for that matter. And now we're getting a KB rerelease? Not that I'm complaining, it's just that the timing is well off.
Still, it took Ridley Scott over twenty years.

That. New material would be cool, but a single-volume version of the movie we already have would be more than enough.

I assume this new version will have the Crazy 88 (was it 88? I forget) fight in colour like the Japanese release. That would be way past cool.

At least it seems like it will be somewhat worth the wait. I want this on Bluray. Mmm...Bluray...

The Japanese are gonna have a hard time trying to make her look attractive in anime form.

You talkin about Uma? She did say that this new anime sequence has nothing to do with her or her character, but I have to agree, she really isn't very attractive.

I like the idea of both Kill Bill Vols 1 and 2 compiled into one long movie (the way it really should've been if you ask me) with new scenes on a blu-ray disc. More anime sequences are definately welcome and easier I guess to fill in any backstory and extras rather than film it all. I only own the original theatrical cuts on UMD which I bought for cheap. But new scenes would definately give us an incentive to pick up a new version.

I enjoyed the anime sequence from the original. If Afro Samurai did well enough, I think it'll influence alot of people to do anime stuff... or at least people who are already into it as fans and who also make/produce movies.
I'd watch an anime about Bill. I'd actually like to see more O-ren stuff but she pretty much got her whole backstory told so theres not really too much more to tell.

Hopefully they'll finally actually make it.
And I think Uma Thurman is adorable. Did you see her in the Producers? She's not ugly just because she doesn't have a button nose and delicate features.
I'd be much happier if this news was "[Whoever] has already written a script for t.A.T.u: Paragate." I wanted that movie so bad.

Fun fact: They call her "Yuma" in Japan so as not to sound like uma (horse).

So if you're not drop-dead gorgeous in Hollywood, then you're pretty much ugly. I see.
