Wow, um that's quite the cast..... How much did this show cost!?! Cautiously optimistic, but I need to see more. Unsure of the art style, but I think it there could have been a lot of worst takes (remembers the canceled 3D reboot alpha footage)

Yep and his name is just a music/pun on Rock and Roll (his sister) because he's called Rockman in Japan. Another fun fact is Protoman is called Blues which is again another music themed name.

The funniest part about that is the characters in the short, where not in the game. The current theory is that they were supposed to be a part of the games live service system and be introduced in a later season.
Sony really pumped a ton of cash into a pay-to-access live service game, thinking it would do well with free-to-play games like, Overwatch 2, Counterstrike 2, COD: Warzone, Deadlock & Apex Legends.

That is hilarious. Because they thought the same for Playstations All Star.

As far as Americanized Mega Man portrayals go it doesn't look too bad just a bit generic. We've seen far worse.

I wonder if and when they would portray Rock losing a battle body and teleporting back in with a new one.
Alot of my views on megaman have been influenced by Bob and George and MS Paint Masterpieces (especially the second, masterful retelling of megaman 2 GBA version [with the Megaman Killers]).
The cataclysm explanation for the generational differences between Megaman and X; The astro boy like innocent nature of megaman still leading him to battle but never quite human in his thinking; Roll being hyper competent as a non combatent; And the way their intrinsic networking abilities manifest into taking on powers from other robots.

As for the cast keep in mind this is including people for all the other episodes about different games. (unless I read the promo wrong). But it is still stacked with holywood stars... I hope they dont suck at voice acting like many do.
