Keep going with the same quality again Doga Kobo, you're doing justice to the original.

Definitely saw this coming. Mamoru Miyano to voice Hikaru Kamiki is an interesting choice. I look forward to seeing how he brings Hikaru to life.

Looks like a few people in these forums guessed right on that character's VA. (For those who weren't paying attention, he was listed with question marks in the credits for episode 22.)
Completely expected and welcome announcement.

Yeah Mamoru Miyano used a more quiet tone.
Still, it's weird they announce season 3 before even finishing season 2.

Same with the "crow girl". She had a cameo last episode and some people guessed her seiyuu correctly.

Final episode already aired an hour or two ago (and with English subs too). They did an announcmet in the end of it.

Surprised they picked this timing to give not just the VAs' names, but to put the characters' names in the credits. One of those names, if they stick with the manga, probably won't even be used in season 3.
(Me: "And why is there a credit for THAT character at all—ohhh, that's why." Looks like someone got the credit posted in the Encyclopedia between when I started and finished my submission; bah.)

Hiring Ikumi Hasegawa to voice that character from the final scene is really funny, considering she is killed the same chapter she introduced.

My suspicion is that the mid-season recap episode wasn't planned, thus pushing the final episode into the first week of the new season, and so the show's regular time slot wasn't available. But that's pure speculation, as it has not been confirmed by any official source.

Idk it seems like a spoiler to put the characters names out there.
Pretty weird that they even had Miyano as ??? because like, it's Miyano. Who's not gonna recognize Miyano
I wonder if Tsukuyomi is THAT Tsukuyomi

How is it a shitshow if you haven't even watched it?

I tried but dropped the series in the second or third episode. Both kids were stupid, Aqua is unbearable, and that "dark side of entertainment business" wasn't anything new to someone with almost four decades of living like me.

Consensus I've seen is that the regular timeslot was occupied by the Re:Zero S3 premiere.

This is awesome news! Especially when it seems like the story has really kicked into a new gear.
I guess the fact that they were keeping plot relevant characters' seiyuu a mystery (despite people figuring it out) was because they were going announce it to hype up season 3 where their characters will be more prominent.
I wonder if they'll be working on season 3 along with Alya season 2? I kind of hope not for the sake of both productions.

That's seiyuu flexing if I've ever seen it.
