I actually meant to make a thread for this, but missed it. Kenjiro Tsuda plays the boss cat (the one with the headband)!

Nothing profound here, but a pleasant enough way to spend 23 minutes a week.

Did something get lost in translation in the final episode - why would a lawyer be needed to make someone a full-time employee? Was it actually the cats making Yashiro a part-owner in the business?

I don't think they came out and said for sure what the lawyer guy was doing in terms of paperwork. But I have a feeling it was something way more than just making her a full-time employee. Knowing Sasaki's backstory and seeing how much chemistry the crew built with Yashiro over the season, it's probably something we'll either find out in (hopefully) subsequent seasons, or maybe it's already been revealed in the manga (which is still ongoing).

At any rate, although the animation was iffy, the art was occasionally nice, the OP and ED were super catchy, the main theme in the score was very upbeat, and I felt the voice acting and characterizations were A-grade level. It's a quirky, relaxing, and fun slice-of-life title, and I wholeheartedly recommend this for people who like that genre. I'm definitely not a cat person, but even this made me appreciate them more, even if they can't talk in real life Very Happy.
