So far, the only truly impressive manga announcements from any publisher at Anime NYC have been Ichi the Killer from Seven Seas and Stop!! Hibari-kun! from PEOW2.

Seven Seas license-rescuing Pet Shop of Horrors was nice too, but given how much Tokyopop stuff they've been rescuing these past few years, not all that surprising. It does give me more hope, however slight, to see Sgt. Frog back in print, though.

I’m happy to see Takiba’s manga get licensed! I own both of these books in Japanese and have read them several times. The art is beautiful and the stories have a bit of bittersweetness to them. Highly recommend.
