OK, this is really bad. I imagine the lawsuits will be flying fast and furious from Netflix and their Japanese partners. Disney's lawyers over the weekend, to use an example, were working overtime to take down leaks and rips of Deadpool and Wolverine, and even then I doubt they got them all. But considering how much money Netflix has made, their legal team is probably not one you want to mess with.

I can apply for a free screener of Mononoke and Terminator Zero? Thanks for spreading the good news ANN and comments. I would never ever have heard of this otherwise.
Lol. No lawsuit will come of this. AAA games leak every week (basically every Switch game), movies leak, other anime has leaked, GoT keeps leaking every season. Etc. Only Netflix will take any form of "damage" here as they are potentially losing views. The partners all got paid months or years before and there is no back end on streaming in nearly all cases. Things can only heat up if malicious intent is found. Anything else is the cost of doing business on the internet and animu is a drop in the bucket for Netflix.
Edit: These are sub 360p, watermarked and all in Japanese without subs. No full product outside of Mononoke leaked either. If you want to see these in full you wait on Netflix or pirate later. The Ranma leak can´t even spoil a thing as this portion was adapted decades ago. Zero damage can be taken here. Japan lastly understands how the internet works and needs to keep selling foreign and internet rights to survive. Nintendo would have changed how it publishers games if it cared about leaks. Jump would have become web-only in the mid-2010s (member Naruto full ending leaking?). Having a quick look at Mononoke reminded me of how "streaming" anime looked like in the early to mid-00s. Only Kekaku-quality subs are missing now!

Ahhhh.... whatever? It's not like Mappa is doing a different Ranma?

From what I can understand it's all from someone who works at or knows people at MEDIATOON.
e: RE-Zero got leaked, in French, so the MEDIATOON connection seems a lot more likely now.

May I offer you advice on using an ad blocker in this trying time?

From what I've seen of the Mononoke trailer, it seems like a huge disservice to watch it in 360p

Either way I plan to wait for legal streams. I don't intend to seek crappy, low resolution video.

Mediatoon has nothing to do with the other productions that got leaked. Re:Zero is also in HD and isn't plastered in security watermarks.
It's likely it came from a different source who was just emboldened by the Netflix drops. It's not too uncommon for convention screeners to wind up online.

Is i really a good idea to advertise a leak and give it more spotlight?

Considering the Ranma anime was originally canceled after like 9 episodes and the when it was brought back, it no longer followed the Manga, I would hope the new one is truer to the Manga

The most surprising thing to me is that the shows are seemingly complete. I thought anime production was a lot more hectic. They only announced Ranma a little over a month ago.

I only ever used ad blockers when the ads are intrusive… so no I am not interested in getting one when it’s actually not normal for them to be refreshing one’s page on mobile…
Blocking ad actually effects funding forwards the website you visit so I refuse to use ad blockers unless mention above.
Edit: I just made this post without interruption on my phone.. looks like they may have gotten it fixed!

It seems all of the episodes from the Ranma ½ remake leaked. I'm not going to lie, this is bad, I don't remember the last time a leak of this magnitude happened. Don't know how Netflix and the different anime studios will respond.

The news is circulating all over the Internet, ANN is just reporting what happened, it's not like they're sharing the links or anything.

Most anime series are made months in advance, it's not like they finish the series just days before they premiere, and for series that will air worldwide on Netlfix they need time to subtitle and dub them into different languages. I know that Western animated shows and movies take more time to produce, but look at the recent Spongebob movie that premiered on Netflix a couple of days ago, it leaked almost a year ago, so it was completed a long time ago, and it shows considering it was dubbed into multiple languages, specially since in the Latin American Spanish it's last time Mr. Krabs original voice actor in that dub voiced the character before his passing late last year, the same thing happened in the Japanese version since it was released after the passing of Taiki Matsuno, Spongebob's Japanese VA who managed to voice him in the movie

Given the low quality that people are reporting, it seems the only harm this could ever do is for spoilers, and that wouldn't affect Ranma.

Guess some one is getting axed and not getting any more licensing deals? |
What's your basis for that supposition?
