The first episode was very charming and the show has a lot going for it. The chemistry between the main characters is strong from the start and all of their interactions are either funny, cute, romantic or all at the same time. It adds to the fun that the other characters acknowledge how much fun those two goofballs are having together. Add the solid animation and vibrant look to all that and you have a winner if it were not for one glaring issue.

The issue in question is repetition. The anime is based on a short issue manga/4-koma and that format means lots of shorter segments and as good as no lenghty continuous ones. I have said it before and I will say it again: 12 minute episodes usually work better for shows based on 4-koma manga, now there is the risk of things feeling samey or the episodes overly long.

I think you've got a valid concern since I was a little tired of the repetition by the end of the episode. The MC seemed like a little 3 year old kid who'd just seen a neat trick. Again! Again! Again! Again! Again! Again! If you took out the dialogue where he was demanding or reacting to the female lead's impersonations you'd have about half a minute's worth of conversation.

This one's a drop for me.

This is a hard one for me. The second episode was just as repetitive as the first one and the jumping between segments can be a bit jarring at times. On the other hand the show makes the most out of its gimmick (though it has limits) and the way the mc's interact is very cute. There are thankfully also moments between the real Rin and Eiji plus the ship is pretty much just waiting to set sail with Rin even getting impatient.

So yeah, I will keep watching it due to how charming/cute it is while still grumbling at times.

Color me surprised, while the first few episodes were indeed segments without what one might call a plot or progression, the later episodes changed things up a bit. There is actual progress between the mc's and the show keeps said progress while slowly building things up further. We also get more interaction with other characters so the repetition has gone away for the most part.

A couple more weeks have gone by and more surprises have followed. They are now a couple and they are progressing past the highschool stage. I for one love that development since so many romance series just stop at the confession/kiss and very rarely go on past it. We now get things like meeting the parents.

I kinda dropped this one. But do you feel it's worth the time after the first few episodes?

I would say so, it is no masterpiece but it is a complete romance story with a beginning and end that has a lot of charm to it. You can't help but root for those two goofballs and there is actual progress made during most episodes. It is refreshing to not end on a vague cliffhanger and the likelyhood that you will never see the romance play out in anime form.
