I’ve read a bit of the manga, and IMO, it’s one of the better isekai. Keeping in mind that this could easily change later, the volumes I read weren’t any kind of power fantasy (the MC isn’t a fighter, he uses his brains and words), the MC isn’t your usual brash personality, they aren’t playing up a harem angle, and the intimidating demon lord isn’t revealed to be some moe girl.

It's a bummer that they tone down Ulmandra's (the red head lay) like that. It actually gets brought at some point in the manga's story. I'm still hoping that it will be good, though.

I know nothing about this story. What do you mean by being "tone down... like that"? In what way has she been toned down?

In the manga, her outfit was much more revealing. See the link below that has the cover of the first manga volume. On that cover, you'll notice that she shows a decent amount of cleavage.

I have to say "salaryman who died in Vietnam and gets summoned to join the Demon Lord's army" is definitely a new one.

Also points for Akio Otsuka as the Demon Lord. And Yuki Ono in one of his more subdued roles. I didn't even recognize Konomi Kohara.

Totally something between salaryman and redhead girl.

When Akio summons you, you should be honored. Ulmandra's design is on point. Unfortunate that her outfit was altered.
