Not sure if this is the right place to post about it, but I'm subscribed to the Anime News Network Facebook page, and for the past few weeks I have noticed several duplicate posts (same thing posted twice, usually at the same time, but I came across a few duplicates posted within a few minutes of each other).
Personally I find that annoying enough to consider unfollowing. I'm very strict about curating my Facebook feed, because I only want to use it for keeping up with friend/relatives, my local neighbourhood, and news about my hobbies/interests, and limit how many pages I follow so that don't need to spend more than a few minutes to catch up on things that are relevant. When I first noticed it, I thought it was just Facebook being buggy. But I have tested this in other browsers, and both logged in and not logged in. ANN's Facebook posts seem to be the only ones in my feed that are duplicating. And if you go directly to their page, you will see the duplicates there too. |

Thank you for approaching us about this matter!
Recently, we noticed that FB had a "bug" when scheduled posts are published twice instead of just one. This is something that we can't avoid unfortunately. We have sent reports to Meta regarding this issue as well. For now, we would like to ask if you could post us a screenshot of this or link of the FB posts (most recent one is fine). Thank you! |

Hi Thank you.
We're aware of this annoying issue. Briefly what happens is that our server submits the posts in question to Facebook and Facebook timeouts (Net::ReadTimeout), not delivering an acknowledgement of receipt. As know acknowledgement is received, our server automatically retries and the post is duplicated. -t |
