Seeing how strong the red keeper is does make me wonder about the power that they wield in regards to that theory. Some of the keeper peeps including that dripping/slimey one seem less than fully human and we have yet to see how they become as powerful as they are. Though, there was that dragon thingy during the keeper meeting, so maybe they get their powers from some Zordon like entity?

Shame on me for forgetting that this has gotten a new episode. Episode 5 was another exciting one and the web of characters is getting quite large. D has several allies on his side now yet most of said allies are hard to place in terms of where their loyalties truly lie, be it the pink keeper, the female drifter or Suzukiri. On the other hand, there are plenty of enemies and climbing the ranks seems anything but easy.
Btw, I wonder how long the keepers have been a thing given some of the earlier conversations and the flashback about the previous blue keeper. It seems like they have been a thing for a long time.

The aliens showed up 13 years prior, so depending how long it took to defeat them, they've probably been a thing for ~10-13 years. Is that a long time?

A relatively long time, yet given that they are divided into squads that each have their own pretty high tech bases I wonder if the keepers were a thing before the aliens came. There is also the case of that lizard looking thing during the keeper meeting.

Hmm, gotta be honest, I like parts of the current exam arc (mostly the mind games and learning more about how the Keepers function) but at the same time I am getting a bit tired of seeing that garage.

The show did not go as I expected it to reception wise. With the unique premise and it starting off strong I kind of thought it might be one of the big ones of the seasons yet it is barely being mentioned as it is now over. On the bright side: a second season is coming next year.
I liked the season a fair bit overall. The first few episodes set up a very interesting setting. With D going into the ranger organisation as a cadet I expected a lot of excitement and we got that, but the qualification did drag. Thankfully Peltrola showed up before boredom could set in and from that moment on there was a lot of great action, mystery and chaos for the final few episodes.
For the second season we now have numerous factions all trying to achieve their own goals. We still do not know what Suzukiri wants, there seem to be organisations wanting to weaken the Keepers and there also seem to be several boss monsters about doing their own thing.

Ep 12
D's reaction to Blue's death was interesting. I don't think he was actually upset about him dying so much as not getting to finish the fight properly. He was created to fight, and while he claims to be aiming for world domination, I think he was just happy to be able to fight without knowing the outcome and with a chance of actually winning. I think he would've been perfectly fine with killing Blue himself, so he's pissed that he got cheated out of the fight he'd been working for. "Don't die on me!" can mean other than concern for the mortally wounded depending on context.
I never get tired of watching that group dance in the ED. D's being a bit behind the curve is hilarious, but frankly I'm impressed that they didn't just have them all dancing in perfect sync, so they could just cut and paste the character scaffolds. But every dancer is slightly different, either a tiny bit early or late on some of the moves, and D isn't the only one who falters at certain points. The transitions between Fighters and Keepers is flawless and smooth as silk. The song is ok.
I'm gonna miss that ED more than the show. Would kill for a full length music video of them.
