This is a really sweet, fun, and likable series. I really how Suzuki comedically deforms, like when she turned into a Golbat.

It's a really great series, one of a few that instead of going "will they/won't they" up to the last chapter, successfully concentrate on all of the issues of the early stages of relationship of inexperienced teenagers, and do it with big dose of humor in addition to wholesome and cute moments. A+ series for me.
I can assure that there is no risk of running out of material, since the later chapters often concentrate on the one or few characters of wider cast of Suzuki's friends and also on their relationships, including romantic ones, so we get to see several different stages and approaches to being/becoming a couple, all as good as the one with Suzuki and Tani. And it's not like main couple is forgotten by the author, they keep developing, and keep getting chapters all about them too.
I hope this will get an anime, it's such a great series about romance and several perspectives on it, as well as on friendship and on socializing. They also have good examples of male friendships, something often lacking in romance manga.

On the contrary, I like the art of this series. It's one of the series strongest points, especially when Suzuki emotes all over the place.

Polar Opposites is a very sweet and funny series. Teenagers doing teenagers things: a total mess of feelings and ideas, but they talk about them instead of keeping them to themselves, and with misunderstandings for chapters without end.
I also approve the mention to Gapacho, the best character of the whole series. In later episodes Yamada and his girlfriend see him(?) in a photograph, so it's clearly a real human(?) being .

I tried it, but Suzuki is too much of an airhead to deal with. I will not be buying any additional volumes.

If that's holding anyone else back, take heart: the deeper into the series you go, the more of an ensemble feel it takes on. The most recent arc has thrust some deep-background characters from this first volume into de facto lead status while still checking in with the rest of the cast's stories sporadically.
