TV Tokyo is once again involved, and while that doesn't "inherently" mean a TV series, given they are part of the old production committee and seemingly the new one, gives weight of a possible TV Project.

Hoping for the best, either way.

I hope it's a sequel rather than a remake. The manga is still ongoing since the anime ended in 2011, so there's lots of new chapters they could adapt.

Kinda interesting to think that there's a non-zero chance that FuniRoll will pick this up after dropping the original series since they just grab everything nowadays.

It’s a shame Keiji Fuijiwara isn’t around to be the narrator and Paul Sad

Every year I forget there's a lot of serious announcements on April 1st as well.

Would be nice but realistically I don't think Keroro Gunsou is ever going to get a full adaption due to its length. A modern remake makes more sense for marketing.

Staff who worked on the dub, said that Funimation dropped it, due to lack of interest from viewers. With that in mind, would it even be worth streaming this new one.

I imagine it costs a lot less to just stream a show than release it on physical media and also produce a dub. If Precure and Detective Conan can get streamed then surely this can.

Based on Keroro's dialogue from the teaser trailer, as well as the artstyle, a sequel sounds more likely. At the beginning he says "I'm back on Pekopon!", and when he sees his human friends (such as Fuyuki), he says "I have a place I can go back home to!"

Any particular new manga chapters you would like to see adapted?

In case you don't already know this, Discotek Media has officially subbed all 7 seasons, which are streaming on Crunchyroll (https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/GG5H5XMEP/sgt-frog), and so far they have released the first 4 seasons on SD-BD. Therefore, it's definitely possible that Discotek/Crunchyroll will license the new anime project and stream it.

And they said in last January's YouTube stream that they're not getting any more so no, Discotek won't be getting this new series either.
