While I'm in no way surprised by this, this is still horrible

81 Produce made the right call, dude got what he deserved and I pray for those who were subjected to harassment because no one deserves to go through that

Might Gaine and Seiji Date would be ashamed to know that such an awful man provided their voices (and I know heroic characters being voiced by awful people isn't uncommon in the industry, but still)

If Nakamura has any criminal-worthy charges, I hope the sentence is long and that includes double-digits in length if possible.

Guys, nowhere in the article did it specifically say that Nakamura-san was personally responsible for the acts; only that it was his facility. His career probably won’t be affected by this; but whoever the employee(s) involved will be. I hope to god it wasn’t Nakamura personally. He’s been one of my favorite supporting seiyu since the mid-noughties…

What makes this not surprising? Does he have a reputation or history doing stuff like this?

Is this the Yume Kōbō in question?

I see no references to Daiki Nakamura there. This is very bizarre.

Usually agencies drop people discreetly to save face for everyone involved. The fact they dropped Nakamura so publicly suggests he's involved in some very bad things that 81 wants to distance themselves from.

Quote:
When the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers adaptation of the Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger series was reverse-imported back into Japan, Nakamura dubbed Austin St. John's Jason role into Japanese.
This is ironic since Austin St. John has also been in hot water lately.

For sexual harassment, power harassment, and money-related accusations? Absolutely not, the most he’ll get is a fine. You don’t get imprisonment for sexual harassment/power harassment o_O (unless it goes into other crimes of course)
A self-proclaimed former student posted that he pressured his students into paying to see his plays, implying that there would be a difference in the way he treated those who went and those who didn’t.
I’m surprised the agency actually announced this, they usually keep this stuff under wraps. Guess there were too many people making accusations.

Well, hopefully this leads to improvement at the academy.
