Oh god. No way.
So many things I know her work from - Brain Powerd, Plawres Sanshiro, Leda...so many memorable designs. I haven't actually played a Tales game but it's always been easy to appreciate how good her work has been there too.
Too young. What a year...

Damn, that hurts a lot. This month is not even want to give a break for hearts of JRPG fans, really.
Rest in peace, Inomata-sensei.

Man... I don't think I knew her name, but I absolutely knew and recognized her style. I've played, read, and watched a huge number of the things she worked on. Loved the art for Windaria and Weathering Continent, and I was one of those few that bought Future GPX.
Rest in peace.

Oh no!!!! She is one of the all time greats! She even receded my all time favorite character designer Akemi Takada. Without her so many great anime just wouldn't have been the same. Sigh.... but her work will live on through others who were influenced by her.

Another legend gone too soon. I used to think her style was just "old-fashioned" but it's actually very unique. I especially loved the way she drew eyes. RIP

Ah, RIP. It feels way too soon to lose another iconic RPG character designer.

Oh, no. I enjoyed "Leda" and what I saw of "Utsunomiko." This is a terrible artistic loss. I hope Inomata-sensei's friends, family, and fans will be okay.

As a Tales fan, this hits hard, especially when she helped come up with some of my favorite character designs.
RIP Inomata-san.

What a loss; she was a very talented artist. Awhile back, I picked up a secondhand artbook of hers with a lot of work from Leda; her illustrations have held up very well over the years. RIP.

I know her work mainly from Tales. Always loved her pieces. Shame she's no longer with us.

Yep, same here!!! I just heard about her death on Twitter/X earlier today and came to realize how important she was and her involvement with several well-known anime like Urusei Yatsura (the 1980's version), City Hunter, and Gundam SEED.
First we lost Akira Toriyama, and now Mutsumi Inomata. This year is a bit sad for the anime/manga world now that we lost 2 artists with impact on the fandom/communities.
