Read the whole article. Thought the historical revisionism was hilarious but couldn't for the life of me figure out why this was news or how it related to anime. Thank god for that disclaimer because otherwise I would've assumed that's the point of the piece.

Honestly the disclaimer seems completely unnecessary. You wouldn't have a news article about a sports anime and put a disclaimer like "this isn't endorsement of sports." Just like with anything, if the subject matter interests you read it, otherwise ignore it.
