Surprised this is on an anime site. Especially. ANN, of all places.
I grew up reading Marvel's TransFormers comics, with Jose as one of their finest artists. He will truly be missed, but always remembered. |

I've noticed that news (not just here) tends to prefer to say "dead" or "dies" instead of "passed" or "passes" more often these days. I don't like it. I prefer the latter followed by a more compassionate "It's with a heavy heart we report..." that's how I usually write similar reports on Seibertron (yay for getting a source credit, shames it's under these circumstances), but I'm also work in geriatrics so I'm used to being sensitive about these things.
