I don’t want to scare anyone off, but I lost interest in the series when the author kept using rape as a plot device.

Quote: | This could be me searching for the BL in this purported BL title, of course, and if it's not Osiris and Seth, it could be Horus and Anubis. |
So it's not going with the mythologically-accurate Seth and Horus, then? (Or are you just trying not to think about it?) That always struck me as something that belonged in an old BL manga. Or maybe something by CLAMP.
But regardless of where it goes, this sounds amazing. I'm glad BL manhwa has finally noticed history's oldest problematic fave.
(I would suggest Stargate as probably Egyptian mythology's most recognizable pop culture success, though it is very silly.)

I was surprised I didn't get that feel from this volume, but I'm definitely not counting it out! It felt much more Anubis and Horus, but Mojito clearly did his research, so we'll see!

I'm reading the hardback mature version, it has a lot more than the paperback one does. Yet I can say, without spoiler territory, all isn't what it seems. I love history and seeing this really has peaked my interest.

Pascu y Rodri's animated music videos of Ra's and Isis' myths is some really good stuff if you want easily digested versions of 'em, Isis' especially is such a bop.
The fact that the tension between Osiris and Seth might be BL and not that Anubis actually being Osiris' son surprises me though, any mention of BL in relation to these gods surprises me
