That's a shame. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to wait an extra year to watch this dubbed. Still, I guess Hidive needs the content, but it'd be nice if they tried to offer literally anything else.

Damn, it's one of my most anticipated for winter, really hoped for Crunchyroll to get it. Hidive straight up believes the world doesn't extend beyond the American continent, and they'll never see a penny from me.

I personally like it if HIDIVE gets something, not because their service is any good, but it's because Sentai lives another season to actually release physical anime. I'm not interested in this show specifically, but I dread the day that Crunchyroll becomes the sole anime streaming service as it's generally unlikely for any of their shows to get physicals whereas HIDIVE's acquisitions are almost guaranteed to get a physical. Maybe that will change with Crunchyroll since they merged their store with Rightstuf, but I doubt it.

Knowing Crunchyroll they would have only put on the censored version instead of having the uncut version too.

Since it's the same author as Akame Ga Kill that also seems to match.

What exactly are you talking about? Unless you mean something else, have not seen their store? Crunchyroll releases their shows for home video all the time, monthly even.

Crunchyroll is very selective in what they release. For example, Nagatoro and 86 still don't have a release. It's not a key part of their business model. The chance of getting both a blu ray release and an uncensored release are much higher with HI Dive

Yup. Worlds End Harem and Harem Labyrinth show Crunchy isn't the place you want a show like this. I'm going to bet Crunchy never gets the license for Uncensored Ayakashi Triangle as well

CR doesn't censor anything, they just broadcast what is given to them by the studio.

Hidive also streams censored shows, look at Futoki no Guild for example.

I'm not surprised this landed on HIDIVE but I'll check it out all the same.

I don't think Sentai is stepping up their game, this is definitely something Crunchyroll won't acquire. And yeah, like Immoral Guild, Peter Grill S2 and Redo of Healer, I don't expect they to carry the uncensored version.

Glad Sentai got it. That means it's pretty guaranteed to get a physical release. There are wayyyy too many Crunchyroll shows I'm still awaiting blu rays for...
