I really like the anime, in particular the world of it and I was hoping to get more of it in the game. Reading the preview makes me very sceptical. Maybe the single player only bit will be good enough on its own to make it worthwhile. I do have a question though, the preview mentions that you unlock single player missions in the raid mode. Are those missions for the separate single player mode or for the PVE bit of the raid mode? The former means you are kind of forced to jump into raid mode no matter what.

I wasn't aware this was PvPvE and that makes me way more interested. Much like asymmetrical multiplayer (normal players vs boss player), it's a style of game that is inherently very divisive, but when it works, there's nothing else quite like it.
Usually, these don't have single player, so I'm also curious how tightly progression between the two is tied. To put it a certain way: Do you get stonewalled in single player if you die a lot in Online Raid, or can you progress regardless? Exoprimal, its own separate strain of PvPvE, still allows you to continue the story as long as you look at the story content as it appears, for instance. Performance outside of canned PvE missions doesn't matter much there.

While they didn't outline it in detail, from the way they explained it, you can't solely do the single player. The modes are interconnected--and somethings you do in the raid mode are needed to progress the single player story (though what exactly was not said). So it's as you say. From my understanding you will be forced to PvPvE even if all you're there for is the single player story.

Sadly, I don't know the answer to this. That may be the case as they are interconnected. We'll just have to wait for more info in the future.
They did say that some super bad things can happen if you die and don't eject in time in raid mode (like your AI partner being captured and ransomed backed to you in some way). I also don't know the cost of dying--like how much it costs to re-build your mecha and resupply it after defeat. I wonder if you can go into debt like in the old Armored Core games?

Oh boy, thank you for the answers, but I am completely out.
