Well, at least this is something done on the side, and not an episode that interrupts the actual plot of the season.

Between season OVA’s seem to be the norm for the series ever since S3. This is probably the same level of seriousness as the baseball game OVA (and yet the show got a tie-in with the NBA, not MLB, so go figure). Just an opportunity to have the characters people like bounce off each other in adventures of dubious canon.

ever since the first season to be precise since it had an OVA but was with the BDs.
