This is going to be inevitably (and unfairly) compared to My Dress-up Darling, isn't it?

We are so back. Read the manga for this some weeks ago, great series with honestly really good character development. Wonder how far we'll get into the manga. Trailer looks great overall, truly looking forward to this.

That would be reasonable. Cosplay (and starting out as beginners in the cosplay world) is the central focus of both manga series, and both series tend to focus on the more-ecchi end of the cosplay spectrum.

I think Dress-up Darling devotes more time to technique and social aspects of cosplay, while 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is more focused on devotion to one particular character.

Can't beat cute girls in cosplay (or watching them change into their costumes).

Junya Enoki just looks like he's playing Naoya by way of Nagi. Also funny that he's in another show with Akarin.

The animation's better than I expected, which is nice. I'm optimistic for the adaptation, but I'm curious how far it'll go. I don't think it'll get to the mangaka arc that got me to tear up, but maybe it'll end one or two arcs before that. At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing the charming characters and the kindness espoused by the manga on screen.
