New characters! We've got a hardcore tomboy mechanic girl and a super ditzy but cute classmate of Kaname's voiced by Misaki Kuno! So far they're playing off our main couple quite well.

they really had us in the first half of episode 20. or well, at least they got ME good with that reversal of the positions when they lifted tzhe greyscale-filter.
I was already suspect when tsukasa never used any honorifics with tokiko, and tokiko's "I wonder if you are the one who can do it" while the moon was high in the air during the hot springs episode, but I'm almost 99% confident that tsukasa is indeed kaguya-hime. and as I am typing this... doesn't "tsukasa" seem very close to "tsuki" in the first place? I can't believe it took me that many episodes to see this... |

Akarin's voice basically gave away the twist but they'd been building up to the nature of who Tsukasa is for a while now so I wasn't that surprised. I guess the question is if they're going to do more with it this season.
But for now, camping trip! |

With all the evidence pointing to Tsukasa being immortal or extremely long-lived, on the scale of hundreds if not thousands of years, it really strains credulity that she'd never been interested in or experienced any form of romance, dating, love, or sex in her past. The idea that she'd still be "pure" for Nasa after all that time definitely feels like a pandering element. Maybe Hata wanted to avoid the controversy that other manga with average human males and divine female love interests have encountered in the past?
I don't think the Japanese would see those words the same way. Tsukasa's name is written with the single kanji 司 , meaning director, official, govern, administrate. It also forms the base of the verb tsukasadoru, encompassing "rule over" and similar meanings. So while we as English-speakers might see some Japanese words as being just a letter or two apart, "tsuki"/月 and "tsukasa" would probably not have the same proximity within the Japanese-speaker's mind. |

This was another adorable and sweet season of Tonikawa. We haven't fully unpacked Tsukasa's situation, but we have a better idea of it alongside the deepening love she shares with Nasa.
Can't wait for the all girl high school arc! |

The final review expresses how i’ve been feeling about this series through most of this season. Cut to the chase already.
For some reason the slow pace of the manga doesn’t bother me as much. I don’t know if i’ll bother with more of the anime. |
